YIKES! THIS IS A BOMBSHELL AND THE PRIEST NO REACTIONARY!

From November 1st Crux, Solemnity of All Saints (Press title for article):

A 2015 image of Capuchin Father Thomas Weinandy.

Ex-bishops’ doctrine chief says darkness coming to light under Francis!

Capuchin Father Thomas Weinandy, a former chief of staff for the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Doctrine and a current member of the Vatican's International Theological Commission, has written Pope Francis to say the pontiff is causing "chronic confusion," appointing bishops who "scandalize" the faithful, and prompting ordinary Catholics to "lose confidence in their supreme shepherd."

The full text can be read here. In the three-page missive, Weinandy makes five basic points.

Will he get fired for telling the truth or will Francis shower him with "mercy!" This is speaking truth to power, libs

Just during the past 60 or so years, various folks have declared that this or that Pope had spread chaos throughout the Church.

Pope Saint John XXIII's fiercest critics denounced his Pontificate.

Pope Benedict XVI created confusion, according to this or that source.

Talk about confusion...many of us recall the monumental collapse of Church life that occurred from 1963 to 1978 A.D.

Pope Saint John Paul II was accused of having spread confusion throughout the Church. The same was said about Pope Benedict XVI.

Father Weinandy's comments in question are just more of the same in regard to supposed "confusion" unleashed by a Vatican II Era Pope.

However, Pope Francis has accepted reprimands. His humility is such that he has responded positively to criticism directed his way.

Therefore, should Father Weinandy's comments in question reach His Holiness — and the Pope accept as valid Father Weinandy's comments in question — then Pope Francis may reconsider the manner in which he (Pope Francis) speaks and acts.

Pax.

If the Holy Father gets good advice for a change, hopefully he will realize that, in the words of the old 1950's movies, the natives (including particularly me) are very, very restless.

I think Mark Thomas is really Bergoglio.

Mark Thomas is the corporeal manifestation of centuries of anti-papist Protestant polemics. He's a sort of papalotry golem.

And this priest has been fired.

Mercy in action. The humility is overwhelming.

Paul VI, the 'Hamlet Pope' was certainly accused of being confused himself - at times liberal, at times conservative - but to my recollection no-one accused him of doctrinal ambiguity (although Vatican II was certainly ambiguous in many of its documents).

JP II and B XVI were criticized in liberal circles for being too rigid, in effect for not allowing enough ambiguity (or confusion).

The situation with Francis is entirely different, and no amount of selective quotation can obscure the fact.

Father Weinandy's reasons for writing the letter to Pope Francis and subsequently making it public

The firing of Fr. Weinandy by the USCCB only confirms the moral and spiritual bankruptcy of the Novus Ordo Establishment. As bishops, we must respect their office. However, we need to look very, VERY carefully at what they say and do and compare their words and actions to the timeless teachings of the Church and Her saints. We live in a terrible time, but this is the time that God has chosen for us to live in. May we all be prudent and wise in this time of great chaos and deception.

If there is any doubt about where the real "Magisterium of Hate" resides, the USCCB just confirmed it.

John Nolan said..."JP II and B XVI were criticized in liberal circles for being too rigid, in effect for not allowing enough ambiguity (or confusion)."

Many leading "traditional" Catholics accused Pope Saint John Paul II of having lacked rigidity in regard to the protection and dissemination of the Faith.

Example:

http://archives.sspx.org/archbishop_lefebvre/1986_declaration_against_assisi_archbishop_lefebvre-bishop_de_castro_mayer.htm

Archbishop Lefebvre with Bishop de Castro Mayer:

"Adopting the liberal religion of Protestantism and of the Revolution, the naturalistic principles of J.J. Rousseau, the atheistic liberties of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, the principle of human dignity no longer having any relation with truth and moral dignity, the Roman authorities turn their backs on their predecessors and break with the Catholic Church, and they put themselves at the service of the destroyers of Christianity and of the universal Kingdom of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

"The present acts of John Paul II and the national episcopates illustrates, year by year, this radical change in the conception of the Faith, the Church, the priesthood, the world, and salvation by grace.

"The high point of this rupture with the previous Magisterium of the Church took place at Assisi, after the visit to the synagogue. The public sin against the one, true God, against the Incarnate Word, and His Church, makes us shudder with horror.

"John Paul II encourages the false religions to pray to their false gods — an immeasurable, unprecedented scandal."
