Authentic liturgical renewal in continuity
Another pope of great humility and intelligence much like Pope Benedict. A man who should be canonized but because of a misplaced desire to please those liberals outside the Church and the liberals within he never will be officially a saint. But very soon we will have Pope St. John XXIII because someone has personally decided to do it without following centuries old procedure, just because he can.
This was a Mass to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pius XII's episcopal consecration. It was a pontifical Low Mass, and it is a pity that Benedict XVI didn't celebrate it at least once - unlike the papal High Mass it doesn't require the elaborate court ceremonial which would be difficult to resurrect nowadays.
