I keep getting short videos on my Facebook feed of a religious order that I don’t know anything about, “the Heralds of the Gospel”. They celebrate the modern Mass but in a somewhat odd and very regimented choreographed way.
Does anyone know anything about this order?
They have what appears to be a ton of vocations. They wear an odd habit and they are very regimented in their movements, almost like toy soldiers.
The movements are a creativity of another kind imposed upon the Modern Mass. As others have said here, no one seems to like the Modern Mass as it is written and with its simple rubrics. There is constant creativity either of a traditional or untraditional type to improve it.
But all the improving is “ad hoc” meaning someone’s idea of new and improved.
It’s all so very odd, no?
