We all know that during his papacy, Pope Francis did not like the American hierarchy too much as he felt they were opposed to him.
We all know that Pope Francis had a disdain for Canon Law, legalism, and rigidity even calling those who like the law in a derogatory way as “doctors of the law” as used by Jesus during His public ministry.
We all know, and too well, that Pope Francis had a disdain for Raymond Cardinal Burke, an American and a so-called doctor of the law, as Pope Francis fired him as the Prefect for Canon Law and sidelined him as head of the Knights of Malta and humiliated him when he was close to death because of Covid 19 and threatened to take his apartment away from him.
And then the new pope is elected, Robert Cardinal Prevost!
THE NEW POPE IS AN AMERICAN!
THE NEW POPE IS A CANON LAYWER AND DOCTOR OF THE LAW!
THE NEW POPE TAKES THE NAME LEO, LEO XIV!
Oh, did I say that Cardinal Burke’s full name is:
Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke?
Deliciously ironic, no?

"Shall I tell you, Cardinal Burke, what your real problem is?” he said. “You hardly dare to say it loud these days, but you’re Catholic, simply Catholic, but Catholic in the full sense of the word, not the Catholic faith mixed with water to make it more digestible. No, the full Catholic faith. The full truth."

I had listened to/watched Cardinal Eijk's homily in question. I appreciated his having noted that Cardinal Burke is a man of Vatican II, as well as the Holy Mass of Pope Saint Paul VI.
I consider as well the manner in which holy Pope Leo XIV has, in line with Cardinal Burke, sustained repeated attacks for having held and promoted the "full Catholic faith."
Pope Leo XIV has been labeled a "modernist" repeatedly. In particular, he has received that label as His Holiness has been steadfast in his attachment to the "full Catholic faith," which includes Vatican II, as well as the Holy Mass of Pope Saint Paul VI.
Pope Francis (requiescat in pace), for example, also sustained attacks for his having held the "full Catholic faith."

Let us pretend that Pope Francis (requiescat in pace) did not like the "American hierarchy."
He had a good reason, for that. That is, if we believe certain claims in regard to the American hierarchy that various folks here have, for years, issued.
Said folks have claimed that with few exceptions, the Church in the United States has been governed by dreadful bishops...modernists...who have run the Church into the ground.
The American hierarchy is packed supposedly with sexual perverts...bishops who cover for pedophile priests...bishops who are blackmailed as the result of their homosexuality...bishops who permit liturgical abuses to prosper...
...on and on goes the dreadful portrait of the bishops.
In light of the above, there is not any wonder as to why Pope Francis had not been a fan supposedly of the American hierarchy.
Pax.

Thanks agreeing with me how deliciously ironic it is that an American, canon lawyer who took Cardinal Burke’s middle name as his papal name became pope after Francis antipathy to the USA, canon law and Cardinal Burke!!! Deliciously ironic!
THE GOD OF SURPRISES!
