It’s because of priests like this who love to entertain and get the applause of people. Here a Jesuit priest, loving the applause of young Catholic High School students is corrupting their understanding of the Mass.
And many Catholics have no problem with these kinds of antics at Mass, especially if they make the priest look like a buffoon.
Yet when these young Catholics become mature men and women, they will think the Catholic Mass in general is a joke as well as Catholicism:
You can view the Facebook video HERE—IT IS MERCIFULLY BRIEF!
Yet Pope Francis with his TC cracks down on traditionalist clergy and laity, but no word of condemnation or correction for the Jesuit priest in this video.
Nothing like this could happen in the TLM, nothing! The greatest abuse in the TLM might be the priest racing through the Latin prayers, especially those in a low voice. Maybe his alb isn’t properly ironed. That’s about it.

"Yet Pope Francis with his TC cracks down on traditionalist clergy and laity, but no word of condemnation or correction for the Jesuit priest in this video."
Pope Leo XIV owns Traditionis Custodes. He has maintained the supposed cruel, lie-based, vile, Magisterial teaching in question.
In regard to the correction of a wayward priest: That responsibility falls to Pope Leo XIV. One would hope, however, that a wayward priest's bishop would handle things at the local level.

Yes, Pope Leo does own the actual cruel, lie based, vile, magisterial teaching contained in TC. Just as this pope has to put into effect policies against sexual abuse by clergy of minors and vulnerable adults, i.e. Rupnik of extreme importance to do, so too His Holiness needs to address the spiritual abuse of TC towards a small group of Catholics engaged in the TLM and their parishes. To acknowledge that even a pope can engage in spiritual abuse will be very healthy for the papacy and ultramontanists like me and you. Time will tell. I think Pope Leo will make some adjustment within the first two years of his papacy.
Should certain folks prove correct, then the relaxation of Traditionis Custodes will not alter the supposed wayward direction of Pope Leo XIV/his Pontificate.
John-Henry Westen, via LifeSiteNews, published yesterday the following scathing article:
https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/vatican-welcomes-lgbt-pilgrims-as-it-scrubs-references-to-sspx-pilgrimage/
-- Vatican welcomes ‘LGBT pilgrims’ as it scrubs references to SSPX pilgrimage
Excerpts:
"Friends, what does it mean when the Vatican welcomes open promoters of sexual perversion into its Jubilee celebrations? That’s right, a group of over 1,000 so-called “LGBTQ Catholics” are about to descend upon Rome next week for the Jubilee year.
"So, it’s understandable that many were also dismayed when the reference to the SSPX was removed from the Vatican Jubilee website. While the SSPX is outside the window of acceptable thought, this homosexualist group is clearly inside it for the Leo XIV Vatican.
"No, it’s about us saying clearly: under Leo XIV, the Vatican is making space for homosexualist groups, and celebrating them as honored pilgrims, and treating their heterodoxy and heresy as if they were legitimate opinions – and this is unacceptable.
"It’s unacceptable, but it isn’t a surprise.
"Leo XIV himself said, as Cardinal Prevost in 2023, that his earlier condemnations of the “homosexual lifestyle” had shifted under Francis – “there’s been a development” he said, such that “we are looking to be more welcoming and more open, and to say all people are welcome in the Church.”
"I’m sorry, we all know what that means. He even attributed this “development” to Francis and made clear that he had adopted it for himself.
"No, friends. God does not bless sin – let alone one of the four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance.
"Yet there, in the very city of Rome, under the shadow of St. Peter’s Basilica, a sin that cries to heaven for vengeance is celebrated under the name of “inclusion.”

Father McDonald said..."I think Pope Leo will make some adjustment within the first two years of his papacy."
I am on board with Pope Leo XIV's God-given authority to teach, govern, and sanctify me. I refuse to do to His Holiness that which certain folks had done to previous Popes.
That is resist the Pope's Magisterium...badmouth the Vicar of Christ...
Deo gratias for holy Pope Leo XIV!

Father McDonald said..."To acknowledge that even a pope can engage in spiritual abuse will be very healthy for the papacy and ultramontanists like me and you."
The holy, unassailable Magisterium, to which Traditionis Custodes belongs, is capable of the spiritual abuse of Catholics...of teachings based upon lies...of cruelty?
Father McDonald, do you...I...the Catholic down the street...have the authority to determine the above in regard to Magisterial teachings?
=======
Father, if Traditionis Custodes is the horrific, abusive, vile, lie-based Magisterial teaching that you have claimed...
...then it would prove difficult to blame anybody who lacked confidence in the Magisterium.

It is a red herring to state that it is new, under Pope Francis, that all people are welcome in the Church. First of all, all baptized Catholics, regardless of their canonical status, are required by Church law to attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation—no exceptions. How’s that for todas, todas, todas! However, not everyone is allowed to be baptized as an adult or after the age of reason, if they persist in holding onto non-Catholic doctrines or are living in sin of some kind. Nor are Catholics who have a canonical restraint against them allowed to receive Holy Communion—public mortal sinner who flaunt their sin and those, perhaps only known to themselves, are in a state of unrepentant mortal sin.
We’ll see how Pope Leo communicates to the LGBTQ++++ Catholic. Already he has called everyone to repent of sin and to make sure their public life matches what the Catholic Church’s faith and morals are and His Holiness has called us to respect natural law which includes sex and how it is expressed. So we are on a good footing with Pope Leo already, thanks be to God!
Father McDonald, in regard to your negative assessment of Traditionis Custodes:
Peter Kwasniewski, for example, had passed negative judgment upon Summorum Pontificum. He, in effect, would have us believe that Summorum Pontificum was a cruel document.
He insisted that anybody who trusted in said document would have their hopes crushed.
Peter Kasniewski, in regard to Summorum Pontificum, had declared that said document was filled with lies.
"...it is no more than damage control; it is not a pillar, much less a foundation, of a permanent structure."
"And those who lean on it too much will find themselves crushed by its incoherences."
=======
Based upon that, then one must conclude that Summorum Pontificum was a cruel document. Again, Summorum Pontificum would crush folks who had trusted in said document, according to Peter Kwasniewski.
Father, that returns me to my concern when somebody — you, Peter Kwasniewski, anybody — has determined that Magisterial teaching is cruel, as well as filled with lies.
Why on earth should we trust in a Magisterium that is capable of cruelty and dishonesty?

There is no one to blame for those who now lack confidence in the Magisterium other than Pope Francis for his harsh TC and the pope and bishops in general for the massive clergy sex abuse scandal that continues almost unabated until this day. That has caused scores of Catholics to leave the Church and others to reconsider joining. And the manner in which Pope Francis coddled Zanchetta, the bishop from Chile that led to almost no one going to Pope Francis’ public Masses when he was there, Rupnic and others, well, yes, he’s the blame for a lack of confidence in many Catholics concerning the magisterium. A huge mea culpa from Pope Leo would assist in the healing of all of that, but not cure it.
By the way, I reject John-Henry Westen's/LifeSiteNews' bleak assessment of Pope Leo XIV.
A claim among certain Pope Leo XIV's critics is that he has thrown in with the homosexual lobby. I reject that claim.
But Pope Leo XIV's critics will wage an unrelenting war against His Holiness.
Therefore, I appreciate Father McDonald's positive, uplifting presentation of Pope Leo XIV.

LGBT Catholics are not perverts and it’s not a sin to be gay.
Thank you BB. You know as I do that that fornication and adultery of whatever stripe is a sin, usually mortally so. Masturbation ranks up there in sin too. Unnatural sex, gay or straight. Is particularly offensive to God as Scripture testifies.. A chaste person, homosexual or heterosexual is not a sin. Neither is the orientation.
Pope Leo XIV owns TC in the same way your holy holy holy Prophet Francis (pbuh) owned Summorom Pontifical for eight years.
"One would hope, however, that a wayward priest's bishop would handle things at the local level"
MT, your hope that a modern bishop would do anything about this would be admirable if not so naive.

"I refuse to do to His Holiness that which certain folks had done to previous Popes."
Thus Mark Thomas went and prayed with himself, "I thank you, Lord, that I am not like these other men..."

I thought Burke had told LifeNews and the other far right crazies to call off the attack hounds. Obviously didn’t last long!
Nick, I hope not to trample Pope Leo XIV's good name in the manner in which certain folks here, as well as elsewhere, have trampled Pope Francis' (requiescat in pace) good name. I will add that it is with God's help that hope to accomplish the above.
I would think that each Catholic would not wish to join those who trample the Pope's good name.
Pax.
