MANY HAVE ASKED, “IS THAT OUR MOST HUMBLE SOUTHERN ORDERS BLOGGER CELEBRATING THE CATHEDRAL’S EF MASS WITH BISHOP PARKES PRESIDING IN CHOIR DRESS FROM THE THRONE?”

 No! It is my former altar boy in Augusta, now Vicar General, Fr. Dan Firmin who is the celebrant.  That is the genius of the pre-Vatican II Mass and now post Vatican II Mass and ad orientem for the OF Mass. The cult of the personality of the priest doesn’t enter in to it, nor do his looks, pious, reverential looks, or whatever other quirks of the personality. 

The McCarrick saga tells us how damaging the cult of the personality is on our liturgies and Church.

The celebrant here could be me or any hundreds of other extremely handsome priests like me, but that doesn’t enter into it. It doesn’t matter:
