YIKES, BOMBSHELL?

Archbishop Georg Ganswein, Benedict XVI’s private secretary, has reportedly asked publishers to remove the Pope Emeritus’ name from a book on clerical celibacy, in which he is presented as co-author

UPDATE: Robert Cardinal Sarah confirms Archbihsop Georg Ganswein's comments:

I confirm that I was able to speak this morning with Archbishop Georg Gänswein. This press release remains my one and only version of the development of the facts. I also had a conversation with Fayard's management to put in place the specific requests of Bishop Gänswein. RS +

Update story, press title:

Retired pope wants his name removed as co-author of book on celibacy

MY POST SCRIPT: It will be fascinating to see who will replace Cardinal Sarah as the head of the Congregation for Divine Worship. My most humble guess is Blaise Cardinal Cupich has a degree in Liturgy which he earned in the late 1970's, early 80's.

To avoid undermining the authority of Pope Francis?

When can we expect the 'Pell treatment' for Cardinal Sarah by the humble and holy Francis?

If I didn't know better, I would think that this is evidence that the saintly Francis already has an agenda that WILL be imposed regardless.

Based upon the book's excerpts, Cardinal Sarah has echoed Pope Francis' powerful defense and promotion of priestly celibacy.

Cardinal Sarah made it clear yesterday, and many times prior, that he remains in filial obedience to His Holiness Pope Francis.

Cardinal Sarah has praised Pope Francis' strong defense and promotion of the Faith.

What I question in regard to Cardinal Sarah's book is the notion that it's unacceptable within the Latin Church to allow an exception to the ban on married priests.

Pope Benedict XVI, via the Ordinariates, authorized the establishment of married priests within the Latin Church.

Pope Saint John Paul II permitted married priests to serve the (Latin) Church.

Pope Venerable Pius XII permitted married priests to serve the (Latin) Church.

I would not for a second question the establishment of married priests to serve the Holy People of God within the Amazon region (should His Holiness permit that).

Anyway, peace to Cardinal Sarah.

Pax.

You would not for a second question anything Francis says or does, or what any pope says or does, even though history is littered with examples of popes acting unwisely, or scandalously, and on occasion even heretically.

Cardinal Sarah is well aware of the situation regarding married priests who had previously been ordained in the Anglican communion. The exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. To extend this to an entire region and ordain married men on a routine basis is quite another thing.

Even you should be able to see that.

Publishers want to sell books so they sometimes take liberties in marketing such as Fayard did on the front cover of this one by enlarging the role of Benedict XVI whose name is a bestseller any day. Unfortunately it does imply that both wrote the book together. Most of the book was written by Cdl Sarah, which will be made clear in the next edition.

What is interesting is the great passion from the neo-Modernists in the Church against this work. Certainly there are, have been, and will be exceptions to priestly celibacy, Mr Thomas above makes that clear. The problem is that the ploy of neo-Modernists has always been to create the rules out of the exceptions. They did that very effectively in the liturgical reforms to create a liturgical revolution.

Nevertheless, Cdl Sarah is right. Catholic priests today are under great attack spiritually particularly within the Church Herself, and in his former book, Sarah asked for Catholics to thank Catholic priests for being priests because they are so special and important. So Fr McDonald, I thank you for being a priest of the only True Church. The world needs you very much.

In regard to Cardinal Sarah's book on celibacy, the Church's extreme wings have, once again, demonstrated the abundant hatred and meanness that they possess.

The left-wing, as they despise Emeritus Benedict XVI, as well as Cardinal Sarah, portrayed the book as as an attack against Pope Francis — an attack to defame him, as well as undermine his authority to teach, govern, and sanctify God's Holy People.

The right-wing, as they despise the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis, also portrayed the book as an attack against the Holy Father.

However, the right-wing had portrayed in positive fashion the supposed "attack" against Pope Francis.

Their attitude is...Emeritus Benedict XVI, as well as Cardinal Sarah, had stuck in to evil Bergoglio...they have warned him...they have pressured him to maintain priestly celibacy...

It is Emeritus, and Cardinal Sarah, against evil Bergoglio in the sad, depressing world of right-wingers.

Said folks thrive on the hatred and mutiny that they promote daily against the Vicar of Christ.

The Catholic left-wing, as well as right-wing, have, in satanic fashion, pitted Emeritus, and Cardinal Sarah, against the Vicar of Christ.

Conversely, from 2013 A.D. to date, Emeritus, as well as Cardinal Sarah, have praised and pledge their filial obedience to His Holiness Pope Francis.

Emeritus has insisted that his former Pontificate, and Pope Francis' Pontificate, are in 100 percent continuity with each other.

Cardinal Sarah has declared that he stands 100 percent with Pope Francis.

Then the situation is:

Community X of former Anglicans turned Catholic have (for discussion purposes) 100 people.

The Church then determines that to benefit the Faithful in question, that She will make an exception to Her rule in regard to priestly celibacy.

She will allow a married priest(s) to serve Community X.

We rejoice that Holy Mother Church has taken into account the spiritual needs of 100 followers of Jesus Christ.

============================================================================

The Church determines that "X" amount of Catholics — far more than in Community X (many former Anglicans) — in the Amazon would benefit spiritually should She permit married priests to serve said region.

However, we must not allow married priests to serve the spiritual needs of "X" amount of Catholics in isolated regions of the Amazon...where Masses are offered once every few months.

Why?

We say "yes" to married priests for Catholics attached, for example, to an Ordinariate community.

We say "no" to married priests for Catholics attached to isolated Amazonian communities.

Why?
