Good question. This is posed, not a Mass. there is a corporal cloth in front of the tabernacle there. When I was stationed at the cathedral from 1985 to 1991, as MC, every altar had altar cloths. However, I had a retired Sister, Sister Kieran Davis, RSM, (RIP) who was scrupulous about the appearance of the altars, making sure all the brass and candles, including brass burners were absolutely clean and polished. It's a mess today, especially the care of the candlesticks. Things are grungy.

Nice photos. Clear on my phone. Are there more?
Have you thought of photographing the Mass done as you often recommend so the parishioners can see it and discuss it with their priests?
Why are there no altar cloths?

Rug, no just the two.
Rug?? My hair is natural. Just comfortably spaced.
rcg - good one - I never heard it put that way before.
When people comment on my 90% grey hair, I say, "I don't care what color it turns as long as it doesn't turn loose."
