The Church is under attack, and Pope Francis, on the occasion of the liturgical day for the three Archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, asks the Christian people for a special prayer in the month of October. It is an initiative that signals how worried Pope Francis is about the scandals of the abuse against minors but also for the rising levels of the attacks against the Pope, the Curia, the bishops, from those who daily sow divisions, hatred and scorn towards the successors of the apostles, and favour a schismatic outlook. The facts are there for everyone to see: the exploitation of the paedophilia scandal, used in power battles within the Church, the accusations against the Pope, the ferocious and unrelenting criticisms against his person, whatever he may say or do.

I certainly will and always do pray that God will spare us and rid the Church from the filth that is bringing Her low.
Oh and I do hope that Pope Francis and Cardinal Wuerl have been enjoying their time together in Rome these last few weeks. And soon Cupich and Danneels and Marx and Spadaro and Rosica and Martin and Baldessari and Forte and Coccopalmieri will be joining them. Such a holy bunch we have have with that lot.
The Francis is way too humble to notice that he himself is responsible for CAUSING divisions, and is constantly showing scorn towards the successors of the apostles, and has been unrelenting in his criticism.
what a blazing hypocrite, when PF was first elected the SSPX sent him a bouquet of rosaries offered by their people for him, he dismissed it as archaic and "cute" but of no consequence in today's world and church, claimed that they were deluded I believe. now that he is in a bind he wants rosaries, REALLY!!!
For a Catholic, that is wonderful news. How many graces must have been unlocked through so many Rosaries prayed by faithful souls! What a blessing!

That’s how a Catholic reacts. Mr. Bergoglio reacted differently. Instead of being humbled at this kindness, gratefully receiving the bouquet, and perhaps offering some prayers in return, knowing what a wonderful gift it is to receive over 3,500 Rosaries, Francis says that this bouquet is evidence of a “Pelagian current” and it “concerned” him because “one feels as if one goes back 60 years! Before the Council… One feels in 1940…. Why don’t they say, ‘we pray for you, we ask…’, but this thing of counting…” (Address to CLAR on June 6, 2013).
Yep Egyptian, this reaction to the spiritual bouquet is exactly what soured me on Francis.
Self serving words from a man who suddenly seeks the rosary devotion after mocking it.
