A morse is the traditional term for the large, often highly decorative, clasp or buckle used to fasten the front of a liturgical cope at the chest. These functional yet ornate fasteners are typically made of metal (gold or silver), often adorned with jewels or embroidery, and ensure the garment remains secure.
And at the Final Blessing of the Catholic Vespers with an ecumenical entourage, Pope Leo reversed Pope Francis custom of having non Catholic clergy joining him in the blessing.
His Holiness, Pope Leo, alone offered the Apostolic Blessing with the attached indulgences!
