The restoration of the baldichinno continues. It seems to me that another solution would have been better, meaning a temporary altar placed over the confession. I have seen the floor in front of the papal altar extended over it and that would have been a better solution. At any rate, it is all temporary.

When they take down the giant cover, I wonder what we will find it hides. The combined talents of the St. Sabina in Chicago light show engineers with the Notre Dame Cathedral restoration architects maybe aided by German church architects? Classic neon? Maybe a giant statue of Francis bending down and smiling with arms spead in welcome? Or just a simple restoration of the original baldacchino brightened with a lime green paint job? Or, with its association with the Latin Mass, maybe it will just be gone, with David Copperfield doing the unveiling?
Bob, your imagination is something.
I'll do you one better. I'd say that they are sculpting an enormous PACHAMAMA image to surmount the altar!
Or, if reality is what you seek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=afCCpop3VUk
Father Kavanaugh, thank you for that link. The video is beautiful and inspirational.
The video featured comments from Cardinal Gambetti, as well as Patrick Kelly, (Supreme Knight, Knights of Columbus). Each man commented in joyful, uplifting fashion.
They are far removed from folks who would employ the restoration in question to traffic in gloomy thoughts, including digs at the Vicar of Christ.

Father K., how could you forget we live with a pope of suprises, where time is greater than space is greater than time no matter what Einstein said, and with Francis, nothing is impossible.
I hope he DOES put up a Pachmama statue, just so I can see the look on your face. Mine will be deadpan, as nothing Francis does suprises me, not after overturning a prior living Pope's favored motu proprio and breaking his heart shortly before he died. A man who would do that would do ANYthing, even slap women...no, wait...

Very good, Father. :-)
I believe that funding is provided by the Saint Gallen's Mafia... the folks who rigged the 2013 A.D. Conclave to elect big, bad, evil, anti-Pope Francis.
Additional funding by the relatives of the six Protestants who, led by Monsignor Bugnini, invented the Jewish/Masonic Novus Ordo.
George Soros had wished to contribute to the funding in question. But there is even a limit to his spending. After all, it costs a tremendous amount of money to keep Father Kavanaugh and I on George Soros' payroll.

Sorry for double post AGAIN...having connection issues interrupting posts and page and when it reloads, no idea if anything sent as reloaded page offers no clues.
Bob, I have forgotten nothing.
On the other hand, I have not given up rational reasoning and thought as you obviously have.
The only look you'll get from my face is disdain.
On a serious note, I hope that cover raises and lowers on demand while restoration work underway, and it only up for cermony, or, it open on back side at minimum, otherwise the workers will be roasting inside even with pumped in air.
Had already seen the promo video, Father K.. Had hoped your link was one showing work in progress so that I could see worker conditions, but maybe the Vatican will put something out showing such work, and its complexity, and risks.
Father K's notion of "rational reasoning and thought:"
I vote for "abortion as healthcare." Voting for the Dems this Fall is voting for abortion, transgenderism and overrunning the country with illegal aliens, many of whom are dangerous.
I still wonder what is the "proportionate" reason for doing so.
TJM - You, and others who have posted here, have repeatedly denied that ANY proportional reasons could exist.
I would, therefore, not bother wasting my time trying to explain the reasons to you, any more than I would explain other lies you believe such as Trump won the past election, George Soros is paying me, or the moon landing was faked.
