Incredible: St Catherine’s Cathedral in Utrecht is expected to be closed and sold due to an ongoing decrease in attendance, as the aging building has become more expensive to maintain. Well based on the demographics at Sunday Mass at my so-called "vibrant" Novus Ordo parish, this is a movie coming to the US in the not too distant future.
Mmmmm, I would say less a mental illness and more a spiritual sickness.

I recall that many folks trashed the gathering that had produced the Dallas Charter. We know that the Dallas Charter conference has enjoyed great success.

It's both a mental illness and a spiritual sickness...
It's pretty clear that Rome is not going to govern its part of the church in areas that actually matter (getting rid of abusive priests/bishops/etc), unless one dares question the status quo. (In which case, suddenly they find this ability)...
One could very well argue the Dallas charter was not a success (one bishop opted his entire diocese out)...The Bishops are completely tone deaf....
