BOMBSHELL: A BISHOP WITH TESTOSTERONE!!!!!!!! A TRUE CATHOLIC BISHOP!!!!!!

We need bishops and popes and priests who model themselves after this version of the Risen Lord!

AN EXCERPT!

The champion of this abortion legislation is Andrew Cuomo, a Catholic and governor of New York. Governor Cuomo frequently cites his Catholic faith in support of legislation he favors. His public witness as a Catholic politician, coupled with his stalwart support of abortion, is unacceptable.

Politicians who reside in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, and who obstinately persevere in their public support for abortion, should not receive Communion without first being reconciled to Christ and the Church (cf. Canon 915; "Worthiness to Receive Holy Communion. General Principles." Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, 2004).

CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF SPOKANE
Office of the Bishop

February 1, 2019
Dear Friends,
Each January as the nation commemorates the sad anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, marches are held, and vigils are prayed. Those committed to the cause of human rights of the unborn make their voices heard. This year, pro abortion politicians fearing increased restrictions on abortion have advocated for and passed laws expanding access to abortion in the state of New York. Similar attempts have been made in Virginia.
Efforts to expand access to abortion, allowing murder of children up to the moment of birth is evil. Children are a gift from God, no matter the circumstances of their conception. They not only have a right to life, but we as a society have a moral obligation to protect them from harm.
The Church’s commitment to the life of every human person from conception until death is firm.
God alone is the author of life and for the civil government to sanction the willful murder of children is unacceptable. For a Catholic political leader
to do so is scandalous.
I encourage the faithful to turn to our Lord in prayer for our political leaders, entrusting them especially to the intercession of St. Thomas More, a public servant who preferred to die at the hands of civil authorities rather than abandon Christ and the Church.
Let us also keep the unborn, as well as all pregnant mothers, in our prayers.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Live, Jesus, in our hearts forever.
In Christ,

Most Reverend Thomas A. Daly
Bishop of Spokane

The greatly disappointing Archbishop of New Yawk, Cardinal Dolan, poster boy of the USCCB status quo, has stated that he does not believe in excommunicating pro-abort pols because it doesn't work, or some such thing. But is the sole purpose of excommunication just to motivate the excommunicatee into repentance? Does not excommunication have other "off label" effects? For one thing, it sends a message to other Catholics that such disobedience to the faith will not be tolerated. Sometimes tolerance isn't a virtue and this seems to be such a time. It also prevents the sacrilege of publicly witnessing the reception of Holy Communion while in a state of mortal sin.

Cuomo's Catholic faith is a politically-opportune farce and pretense. Only the bishops can stop such pretense. And you can add Nancy Pelosi and just about every other Catholic Democrat to the list. It's not that Republican Catholics are any better. The problem is that Democratic Catholics tend to unquestioningly embrace a political philosophy that throws unborn children under the bus under the pretense of caring for women. It's got to stop somewhere.

I am more concerned with priests and bishops who vote for the Abortion Party - they are unworthy of their office and should be the first ones tossed out then we can work on the politicians!

Then look no further than your pastor in Douglas.

Historical Irony:

In the 1960s liberal Dems used To call Vietnam Vets Baby Killers !! Now these same liberal Dems who are in Government are the baby killers !!!

TJM,
Is your parish St. Paul in Douglas, Georgia? I am trying to figure out what comment to which Anonymous at 1:50 was responding. The pastor in Douglas is my former pastor (St. Joseph in Waycross, Georgia) and I periodically (when I don't have to teach my Confirmation I class) attend Mass in Douglas as I am about twenty miles from either parish.

I would be completely shocked (and quite disappointed and in a state of disbelief!) to know that the pastor in Douglas (who strikes me as quite orthodox and with a decidedly traditional/conservative bent) votes for candidates from the Abortion (Democratic) Party given their appalling position on the abortion issue!

Hey Anonymous 2 and Kavanaugh,

Do you have a problem with this?

Sicko democrat defends bugs and votes on abortion the same day

Irony alert: Virginia state delegate who defended her bill to permit abortions up to the moment of delivery introduced a bill to protect canker worms and gypsy moths the same day

Democratic Virginia Del. Kathy Tran introduced “House Bill No. 2495 – Fall cankerworm; spraying prohibited during certain months” on Jan. 9, the same day as “House Bill No. 2491 — Abortion; eliminate certain requirements.”

Tran came under fire Tuesday for her support of legislation that would allow an abortion to be performed just moments before the birth of a child. (RELATED: VA Considering Bill Legalizing Abortion Until 40 Weeks In Pregnancy)

Most Reverend Thomas A. Daly offers God's mercy to pro-abortion politicians. May said Culture of Death folks heed Bishop Daly's call to obey Church teaching in regard to abortion and the reception of Holy Communion.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph intercede for Bishop Daly.

Pax.

MT,

A lovely thought but the Dem Party would collapse if it abandoned Abortion on demand, so it won’t happen.

The pastor in Douglas I referred to was Fr. Daniel O'Connell. I was confused when looking at the directory. He is now in Columbus. He will let you know in no uncertain terms how "progressive" he is if you broach the subject. He unapologetically and vocally supported the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history.

Here is something the fake catholics who post here should ponder:

What sort of political party is willing to cheerfully advocate destroying infants even as they’re getting ready to be born?

Hardly would make you proud to cast your vote for the Democrats

Father, be careful you may make our quiet shepherd nervous talking about testosterone and all. So many bishops act like pathetic and weak republicans afraid to offend anyone when our enemy whether in life or politics have no qualms about saying and doing whatever they want. This battle against Satan will not end well for weak and pathetic priests and bishops.

The floor of hell is lined with the skulls of bishops and it must be getting pretty deep these days.

I would like the mainstream media to ask the pro-abortion Democratic presidential candidates about ANY pro-life measures they would support---just ANYTHING?!? Like restricting government funding of abortion? Banning partial-birth abortions? Banning abortions for sex selection purposes? Banning abortion after first trimester? ANYTHING!!! Then we could see how out of touch they really are!!!

I would like the mainstream media to ask bishops and priests why they support the Democratic Party given the Party's rabid, pro-abortion aka infanticide position?

Until the likes of Cuomo, Pelosi and company feel the heat from the voters, nothing will change on their abortion stances. I don't know if there are any states that are majority-Catholic, but certainly some must be at least a third or more (like Connecticut and Massachusetts). Think if Catholics would vote like a united bloc, change that could be put into effect.

Anonymous,

Unfortunately that ship has sailed. Catholics no longer speak or act, Una Voce, that ended with Vatican Disaster II. We have fake catholics who post here that are Abortion Party adherents first, catholics second.

Anonymous on February 3 at 6:26,
NOT to be confused with the current pastor in Douglas, Ga., Fr. Paul O'Connell!! Fr. Paul was my former pastor in Waycross and I think he is a very fine priest who isn't afraid to call things as they are.

Agreed Joseph Johnson. Fr. Paul O'Connell is a solid priest to be commended and a good example. As far as the other Fr. O'Connell goes, well, the less said, the better.
