On Thursday, four days ago, our seminarian Nate and I went to our Bryan County Nursing Home where I offered the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick to two of our elderly parishioners.
On Saturday at 10:00 AM at our Cathedral I concelebrated the Sacrament of Holy Orders at 10:00 AM.
At 1 PM, arriving in time by the skin of my teeth, I arrived in my parish to preside at the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony for two of my parishioners.
At 4:00 PM, I celebrated the Sacrament of Penance by hearing Confessions for my parish.
At 5:30 PM I celebrated the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, the Mass and within the Mass, I also celebrated the Sacrament of Holy Baptism for the infant daughter of our parishioners.
This morning at our 8:30 AM Mass, with special permission of our bishop, I celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation for one of our parishioners who had missed it. She is preparing for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and our bishop has extended faculties to priests to celebrate Confirmation in these circumstances.
THUS IN A SPAN OF FOUR DAYS I WAS A PART OF ALL SEVEN SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH: BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION, HOLY EUCHARIST, PENANCE, ANOINTING OF THE SICK, HOLY MATRIMONY AND HOLY ORDERS! HOW KOOL IS THAT!
