For a “fresh” liturgy: When it comes to worship and prayer, “in many settings, young Catholics are asking for prayer opportunities and sacramental celebrations capable of speaking to their daily lives through a fresh, authentic and joyful liturgy” (224)
There are two different takes on Pope Francis' youth document. Does it bring us back to 1960's feel good, coloring book Catholic Lite or is it just a bunch of gibberish? I report; you decide.
Francis' youth exhortation says Catholic Church must change but offers few proposals
In new exhortation, Pope Francis suggests ‘concrete…change’ in Church needed to appease youth
The Pope hopes for youth to be 'protagonists of change.'

Yay, we're going protestant - a personal encounter with Jesus is much more important than that stuffy old sacrament and ritual.....
Maybe PF should start handing around an EF parish. He might learn that they have far more young people, who can sing and pray in Latin and actually believe what the Church teaches. He might also want to check out Juventutem. He might then realize many of these "youth" initiatives are perpetrated by old, tired out lefty juvenile delinquents who never grew up and are the same folks who have contributed immensely to the denigration of the liturgy and the Faith.
I always thought that it was MANKIND that needed to change and re-orient themselves to God.
Somebody's got it backward.
I've lived through 5 decades of "fresh" liturgies and the fruits are all the same: desolation.
The 60's are over!
The 70's are over!
The 80's are over!
The only thing that, apparently, isn't over, is old men who fancy themselves as youthful thinkers.
If this was spoken to a group of well catechized youth it might be less concerned. But this is more like inciting a mob.
