PLACE THIS UNDER THE JUST TOO COOL PRIESTLY FILE

This past weekend we began our Lenten parish mission. It concludes tonight (Wednesday) with the final talk.

Over the years I have invited the Fathers of Mercy to preach our missions. We've also had the Dominicans from the west coast as well.

This year we have Father Joseph Aytona, CPM. He has a younger brother who is also a Father of Mercy. They are both break dancers I discovered last night and to boot we discovered them doing their thing on YouTube!

Father Joseph is the taller of the two and the older and the one closer to the camera. I wonder if I should ask him to do liturgical break dancing tonight at the mission as a part of Solemn Exposition and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament? (Just kidding! but I suspect some places would try it, but never Fr. Joseph or his brother, the Fathers of Mercy are a no nonsense, extremely orthodox order!)

Part of this is explained by where they are from:  Rancho Cucamonga, California (the west coast aka the left coast)

I just wish I were as coordinated!

Thank you for asking Fr. Aytona to give the Lenten Retreat. He is an excellent speaker and his life story would make a wonderful catholic family movie. His family are a good example of living the catholic faith at home, and the rest of us can greatly benefit from their example.
