From Germany home to the ancient Protestant Reformation we now have in the works a new Catholic Schism which could go virile!
Of course, progressive catholicism bases its claims on feeling, emotions and warm fuzzies, so convincing to so many.
Then you have those rigid, legalistic types, who worship truth and doctrine and dogmas, the Pharisees of the Catholic Church who could care less about those on the peripheries and who are so unwelcoming, so cold, so mean and so Catholic!

Two bishops, two different c/Churches:
First, we have this church, so flexible, so loving, so accommodating, so welcoming, so Christ-like, who wouldn't want to belong:

German bishop calls for Christian unity at Corpus Christi procession
The bishop of the Diocese of Essen, Germany, voiced support for allowing a Protestant married to a Catholic to receive Communion during his diocese’s annual Corpus Christi procession May 31.
Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck’s call comes amid continuing debate within the German Catholic Church about Protestants receiving the Eucharist.
The Protestant community in the western German city welcomed his comments.
Protestants, including clergy, participated in the Catholic procession for the first time in history along with about 2,000 people including members of diverse Catholic foreign-language communities.
Overbeck cited St. John Paul II as an inspiration and called for greater unity among Christians during a time when the German Catholic Church remains split over the issue of Communion being given to Protestant spouses of Catholics.
“Because we as baptized and believers accompany Christ, we are always on the path of unity,” Overbeck told people gathered for the observance. “That is why Pope John Paul II always greatly valued marriage of baptized persons belonging to different denominations because of their intrinsic value and because of their contribution to ecumenism.”
Overbeck openly advocated for permitting Communion to be shared by spouses, citing ecumenism as part of the legacy of St. John Paul. He said also that Pope Francis is following in the saint’s footsteps.
And then we have this Church of the rigid and inflexible, quite nasty and unappealing:
Cdl. Woelki in Emotional Speech: Intercommunion Debate is About Life, Death
Last Thursday, on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Cardinal Rainer Woelki, one of the seven German bishops who opposed the new German intercommunion handout allowing for some Protestant spouses of Catholics to receive Holy Communion, gave a moving speech at the end of the Procession and Pontifical Mass in his Cathedral of Cologne.
In this speech, Cardinal Woelki made it clear that he will not give up the fight for the right way with regard to matters of intercommunion, saying that this question is not “nonsense,” but, rather: “Here, it is about questions of life and death!” “It is about death and resurrection. It is about eternal life,” Woelki added. “Here, it is about Christ, it is about His Church, and thus it goes straight to the heart of the matter.”
The German cardinal and successor of Cardinal Joachim Meisner as the Archbishop of Cologne continued, saying:
That is why we have to fight for it and to find the right path — not any path, but the Path of the Lord which He points out to us. He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

“After the Schism, which c/Church will have the most admirers, I mean, members? ”
The Church with the most members will be the Church that Francis is creating. It will be the pseudo Lutheran Catholic Church where anything’s goes except fidelity to defined Catholic Dogma. I think that is rather obvious. The majority of people who identify as Catholics could care less about what the Church teaches or anything else. They care about nothing except their pampered children and their vacuous lives.
If this continues, soon there will be no reason to be Catholic rather than your choice of protestant denominations. HInt: The Baptists have the best church dinners, with the Methodists a close second. Lutherans like beer and festive outdoor events with lots of loud, obnoxious behavior (they are German, after all). Episcopalians have great parties because literally anything goes as long as it is between two consenting mammals. Presbyterian girls are fun because the predestination stuff takes the edge off their guilt. Disciples of Christ are great for you eclectic types because they have no theology to speak of. If you like excitement and surprises, go with one of the Holiness or Pentecostal groups...you may get tossed a rattlesnake or find yourself speaking in an unknown tongue. Sometimes their women are in such a passion for the Lord that, He being unavailable, the nearest male in His image will do. Christian Scientists are all schizophrenic and dying from untreated illnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult that worship by knocking on people's doors to spout unintelligible gibberish about Jehovah (why not Elohim). Mormons are completely psychotic, swearing we were all gods on another planet and Jesus came to America, got married, and had children (se American Indians). If you cannot find a place among these, then I suggest the Wiccans...especially for you Patchouli smelling, granola munching earth mamas.
Bee here:
The Epistle at the EF Mass this morning, the Feast of Corpus Christi:
1 Corinthians 11: 23-29
"Brethren, I have received of the Lord,
that which also I delivered to you, that
the Lord Jesus, the same night in
which He was betrayed, took bread,
and giving thanks, broke, and said:
Take ye and eat, this is My Body
which shall be delivered for you; this
do for the commemoration of Me. In
like manner also the chalice, after He
had supped, saying: This chalice is
the new testament in My Blood; this
do ye, as often as you shall drink, for
the commemoration of Me. For as
often as you shall eat this bread and
drink this chalice, you shall show the
death of the Lord until He come.
Therefore whosoever shall eat this
bread, or drink of the chalice
of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the
Body and the Blood of the Lord.
But let a man prove himself; and so let him
eat of that bread, and drink of the
chalice. For he that eateth and
drinketh unworthily, eateth and
drinketh judgment to himself, not
discerning the Body of the Lord. "
I was struck by this reading this morning at Mass because it seems to address this very issue, of those who receive the Eucharist while not believing it is truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, as well as those who receive while in mortal sin (unworthily).
"For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the Body of the Lord."
I don't know how much clearer it could be.
Obviously, the German Bishops have either ignored or twisted Scripture in order to meet some kind of pastoral goal. But if the Bishops do this, do they not condemn those who participate in taking the Body and Blood of Christ without believing it is truly Christ's Body and Blood, or if they are in mortal sin, to hell?
I also noticed this reading is no longer used in the Novus Ordo Mass for Corpus Christi, in any year.
God bless.

I doubt seriously if the German Bishops even believe in God.
Amazing that the current occupant of the Vatican allows such. There is nothing good that I can say about the man, so I'll stop here.
Hey, here’s a great idea, says some German bishops: the Church is in meltdown so let’s call for Christian Unity! LOL
