Apart from the Corpus Christi Mass, I have a question. Sometimes Pope Francis uses his actual gold papal ring at a particular Mass but at other Masses his simpler silver ecclesiastical ring. Is there any rhyme or reason for this? At today’s Corpus Christi Mass, he wore the gold papal one.

At least he wears one?? Sometimes that's the best you can hope for and if it doesn't effect the Consecration or the validity of the mass I just try and move on.
That gold ring is very large on top and doesn't look like it fits very well. It may hurt his knuckles if worn for more than a few hours at a time, if he is anything like me.
