Benedict XVI visits his ailing brother in Germany
Pope emeritus Benedict XVI is making a private visit to Germany to see his ailing brother Msgr. Georg Ratzinger.
It is believed to be Benedict XVI’s first trip outside Italy since he stood down as pope in 2013.

I wish them both well.
God bless them both in the sunset of their lives here and bless them with eternal sunrise together if this be their last sunset together in this world.
The more one lives, the more one sees things die, the more one sees the familiar shoreline eroded away as deep calls upon deep, and the more one speaks with Ignatius of Antioch, "My love has been crucified, and there is no fire in me desiring to be fed; but there is within me a water that lives and speaks, saying to me inwardly, Come to the Father. I have no delight in corruptible food, nor in the pleasures of this life. I desire the bread of God, the heavenly bread, the bread of life, which is the flesh of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became afterwards of the seed of David and Abraham; and I desire the drink of God, namely His blood, which is incorruptible love and eternal life."
The Roman Pontiff is now in Regensberg. Will is minder allow him to speak I doubt it.
Paul McCarthy - The Roman Pontiff is NOT in Germany. He is still resident in the Vatican, being Pope Francis. To suggest otherwise is schismatic.
Fr McD - If you do not remove or delete the above comment, I will personally report you to the Nuncio as you have no Bishop at the current time. It is entirely not appropriate for a supposedly Catholic priest to permit host schismatic comments on their blog. Evidence of the offending comment has been saved.

I suggest you inform the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith about this! This is that serious!!!
I have 2 contacts there at the CDF.
Fr Mario X, who is at present holidaying in London at the La Cage Aux Folles Bed and Breakfast, London, SW1.
And Fr Antonio Y, who is at present residing in Palermo at the St Jude Home for the Permanently Bewildered.
I respect both these men's privacy so what is the best way to convey to you their surnames and cell phone numbers and email addresses?
By the way, I have heard a rumour thaCatholic Index of forbidden traditional Catholic blogs and websites could soon be introduced. You are probably not alone in believing the schismatic content on this blog along with the racism and homophobia etc makes this blog a candidate to be placed on any future Index of forbidden blogs!!
Yours SINcerely,
Fr James Zwingli SJ.

UK-Priest: the correct procedure would be to report Fr McD to the diocesan administrator, not the nuncio. But I suggest you go back on your meds for a week first.
UK-Priest....
I urge you to contact the Papal Nuncio immediately! I am sure he will take a keen interest in this blantant heresy and clear his calendar to take full control of this exceptionally regrettable lack of censorship of a post/comment made by an outsider which dared omit adding the word "emeritus" to the title.
Father McDonald is even now likely boarding up windows of the rectory in a vain attempt to repel the Papal SWAT team now speeding his way.
Your vigilance is to be commended, and I am sure you would react the same for any other breach of doctrinal discipline, such as agitating for unrepentant active homosexuals partaking of Holy Communion contrary to direct teachings of Divine scripture.
You are a modern Athanasius in these troubled times and a tower of jello for those seeking the Living God. A just God will surely reward you as you deserve.c

You are a berk and reporting the wrong priest - start with yourself

From Father McDonald's Blog Profile Page:
"The views expressed on this social network are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my bishop or the Diocese of Savannah or the Catholic Church.” Comments that I post do not necessarily reflect my views or the views of the Bishop of the Diocese of Savannah. I am a priest of the Diocese of Savannah ordained in 1980 at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. I am currently the pastor of Saint Anne Church in Richmond Hill, Georgia. I am the former Director of Vocations from 1986 to 1998 and former Director of Liturgy and Diocesan Master of Ceremonies from 1985 to 1991. I am a blogger who is opinionated and allows a diversity of opinions to be posted in the comment section. I mean to be provocative and ironically comical with a cynicism matched by few others."
The aforementioned provides some degree of indemnification regarding the comments that are posted to this blog (I'm not attempting to speak to adequacy/being legally perfect). Given this, I fail to see any issue posting the following response to the "southern orders" blog posting "IT IS AMAZING THAT POPE EMERITUS BENEDICT CAN TRAVEL!" by commenter "Paul McCartney", June 18, 2020 at 8:49 PM. "Issue posting", to me, being separate and distinct from agreeing with content.
