Even if the images stolen and thrown into a river are simply symbolic of Mother Earth and her fertility, it was not an act of desecration but an act of vandalism!
And we see the leftist progressive mentality of psychological manipulation by calling people racists, misogynists an other phobias. It is just another version of the “N” word like you are so pre-Vatican II.

It was not Our Lady.
And here I thought having a bunch of white European aristocrats dictate a programme of life to the indigenous peoples of Amazonia was the racist thing.
But then, we’ve always been at war with Eastasia. So what do I know.
Typical. The thief attacking the person he stole from. Featuring idols is spiritual theft!
No Lady Liberty in the sanctuary . .

Yes, I do think the Leftists have lost their minds. But Father McD, black sheep is not a racist term. Wikipedia: "In the English language, black sheep is an idiom used to describe an odd or disreputable member of a group, especially within a family." It comes from the fact most sheep have white wool, while an occasional sheep is born with black wool.
But I did notice it took a day or two for the loons of the Left to come up with the right rhetoric to condemn the action of disposing of the pagan idols from the church in Rome:
"Grace on the Margins: The theft of indigenous statues was profoundly racist and misogynist, and reasserts the white supremacist mentality at the root of the destruction of the Amazon and its peoples."
Seems like she did her best to get all the main politically correct Leftist terms into the one sentence. Sorry should couldn't somehow figure out how to accuse the action of being anti-LBQT as well. Well, maybe by tomorrow she'll get that in too.
Of course, she won't actually see it for what it really was...an action to remove a pagan idol from, as the Left would say, our "sacred space." And the right of the Catholic people (you know, the "royal priesthood") to control their own "sacred space" and "sacred rituals."
And as someone else mentioned here before, what about the "supremacy of conscience"? Doesn't that apply here?
God bless.

If you view all of the articles on the Amazon Synod written by NCR, it is obvious that synod has nothing to do with the indignity peoples of the Amazon. Anyone in politics can easily recognize the leftist agenda, even to their new term “the alt-right.” The term used to describe Trump supporters.
Bee, I am surprised that they haven't figured out a way to blame Trump and try to impeach him with it yet!

Carol H.: LOL!
