UNLESS THE BISHOPS ADDRESS THE MANNER IN WHICH HOLY COMMUNION IS RECEIVED, IN ALL ITS DISARRAY, THERE WILL BE NO EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL

All the money, time and effort to promote a Eucharistic Revival is in vain as far as my most humble opinion sees it.

There’s much that must be done which the bishops aren’t doing. But there is one thing they could do that would impact reverence for the Mass and the Most Holy Eucharist and that is mandating the restoration of altar railings, kneeling for Holy Communion and receiving on the tongue.

Just doing that will be catechetical for those who watch a reverent reception of Holy Communion to make them think that it is more than a talisman they are getting but they are receiving the Divine Person of the Most Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Mary. They would then proceed to receive in the most reverent way possible.

INCOHERENCE IS A NEW CHURCH DOCTRINE…

Archbishop Paglia on relevance of 'Humanae vitae' today

I am in agreement with every provision of Humanae Vitae.  You will find no one who defends life more fiercely and tenaciously than I do. I think that this Encyclical must be read today for the value it has in today’s circumstances, which concentrate on the generativity of human relationships.

LET’S HAVE SOME ECCLESIAL FUN

This meme’s first statement should have read:

“YOU KNOW YOU WERE RAISED CATHOLIC BUT HAVEN’T BEEN TO MASS IN THE LAST 15 YEARS…”

LARRY CHAP ON THE BACKWARDNESS TO 1968 POPE FRANCIS HAS UNLEASHED OR IS IT “RE-UNLEASHED”???

Larry Chap is a great writer, although some of his words and phrases can distract from his point because you have to focus on the words to understand what the heck he is saying while missing his main point, but I digress.

But he hits the nail on the head.

I have complained about all those people Pope Francis has appointed for the synodal way or who try to explain what the hell the synod on synod is, while never mentioning God, soteriology, the Communion of Saints or anything pious or spiritual. Their explanations are the closed circle of the horizontal church being self-referential and talking about inclusion to widen the circle, or expand the tent. But it’s horizontal and there is not verticality leading to God and eternal life in heaven. It is the old battle against Marx who said that heaven is the opiate of Christians, so progressives get rid of that in order to be Marxist.

But Pope Francis speeches and writings, while often incoherent and easily interpreted in multiple ways, always includes a deep Jesuit spirituality focused on Jesus and our Blessed Mother. He recognizes the devil and speaks of him often and the spiritual battle which the devil initiates against individuals and the Church.

You can read Larry Chap’s long commentary HERE

Here is an excerpt:

In other words, the burning question of who controls the modern narrative of Catholicism—which is the ecclesial issue of the past sixty years—never went away, despite popes John Paul and Benedict. What we are witnessing in the current torments within the Church is a struggle over irreducible, and therefore intractable, debates rooted in irreconcilable theological first principles. What we are witnessing is nothing short of a wholesale recrudescence of old guard, post-Vatican II progressivism, now linked to ever more transgressive attempts at revision, with a special focus on moral theology in particular. In 1968 it was Humanae Vitae and contraception; today it is LGBTQ everything, but the overall project is the same: The Church must change her moral theology, with an eye toward baptizing the sexual revolution, or it will perish.

And that brings me to the current pontificate. It is, in my view, best read as an attempt to revive a version of the controlling narrative of the Council as an aggiornamento of openness to modern Liberalism and not the aggiornamento of a prophetic engagement and critique. Seen in this light, Pope Francis is a useful tool for the progressives in that bigger project, regardless of his stated faithfulness to the Tradition. He is useful so long as papal authority is required in order to undermine or even destroy episcopal authority. This explains why, in the midst of all of this hoopla over a more “synodal” and less Roman Church, we see the contradiction of an increasing centralization of power in Rome as the progressives gradually gain control of the various Vatican dicasteries.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that this is the agenda of Pope Francis. His words and official teachings show no evidence of this kind of institutional self-immolation where centralized authority is invoked in order to destroy centralized authority—or even, as in the extreme case of the German synodal way, the destruction of episcopal authority as such. What is puzzling in the extreme is that Pope Francis, despite the sound theology in his words, has empowered the progressive wing of the Church in very significant ways through his various episcopal appointments.

The prelates, priests, and theologians that Pope Francis apparently prefers and thus promotes, are cut out of the cloth of modern, performative transgression. The subjective categories of human “experience”, described in terms of a deeply psychologistic and sociologistic register, are now the privileged loci for where God’s Revelation takes place. They are often even viewed as standing in tension with, if not in outright contradiction to, the traditional loci of Incarnation, Scripture, and Tradition. It is not the traditional concept of the third person of the Holy Trinity that is being developed here, but rather a witch’s brew of Feuerbach, Freud, Kinsey, and pop psychology of the angel pin/dream catcher boutique shop variety. And this new “Church on the move” theology is the apotheosis of the modern, rootless, therapeutic self so ably described by Carl R. Trueman in The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, and as such has the double distinction of being both false andboring.

IF I WERE PASTOR, AND BECAUSE VATICAN II TEACHES THAT THE CHURCH MUST DO THIS, I WOULD THOROUGHLY RENOVATE SAINT PETER’S BASILICA TO BRING IT UP-TO-DATE WITH THE DEMANDS OF VATICAN II

The first thing I would do is rip out the baldacchino. It hides the art work and alabaster windows behind it, although that artwork will be removed too.

It constricts the altar, which also will be removed.

The altar, which will look like a table used at the Last Supper, and movable, will be placed midway down the aisle but on a side wall so that chairs can be arranged on all sides to facility the dismantling of a hierarchical liturgy so that there is no longer a distinction between clergy and laity just one big family enjoying a happy meal.

BREATHTAKING VATICAN NEWS’ WORLDLINESS…

I must admit I did not know that northern Italy recently had some devastating flooding. I am glad Vatican News reported it.

But then the tragedy of flooding, which has hit the world since the days of Noah, is turned into a political ideology meme of global warming and the need for us poor, miserable sinners to stop it since we caused it.

There is no historical or scientific evidence to prove that what happened in Northern Italy is due to man-made climate change. There is no reporting that in fact it could have been an “act of God.”

Or it might be due to the old age of our universe, planet system, not to mention the sun itself. It might be that like we human beings, there is an expiration date that leads to death and no one can stop it.

Thus, without the mention of the finality of things and the final consummation of the world at the Lord’s Second Coming for judgment and resurrection of the dead bodies strewn everywhere since creation of man, there is no preaching on the need to repent, believe the Good News and be saved from the fires of hell.

Many people die of lung cancer because their bodies are predisposed to it at the time of conception, or they smoked or inhaled second hand smoke or it is a random act of misfortune. Does the Church complain bitterly that if people didn’t smoke and there were no cancer causing agents   in nature or man made, this poor soul could have lived forever. Never mind the unrepentant sins that might well have placed him in hell!

Vatican News becomes just another political ideology promoting one theory on why, since the days of Noah, there have been natural disasters. There is nothing said about original sin and its corruption of man and all that God created. There is no mention of salvation history as God warns His people to repent before it is too late, and to be save, from the ravages of this life and the eternal fires of hell!

Pope expresses 'heartfelt sympathy' after deadly Italian floods

Pope Francis expresses his heartfelt sympathy for the people killed, and thousands forced to evacuate their homes, as exceptional, torrential rains battered northern Italy, causing massive damage.

By Deborah Castellano Lubov

Nine people are dead and thousands were evacuated from their homes following exceptional, torrential rains which battered northern Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, and eastern provinces, triggering floods and landslides.

According to Civil Protection Minister, Nello Musumeci, some areas had received half their average annual rainfall in just 36 hours. Rivers burst their banks and water washed through towns, and submerged thousands of acres of farmland, reported Reuters.

This catastrophe marks the latest episode of extreme weather and always-more-violent storms to strike the globe as the climate crisis intensifies.

Pope's heartfelt sympathy, prayers

Pope Francis expressed his "heartfelt sympathy" to the suffering and affected by the extreme weather in Emilia Romagna, especially the eastern provinces, in a telegram of condolences. It was sent Thursday on his behalf by Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, the Vatican's Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State, to the Archbishop of Bologna and President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi.

The Holy Father asked the Cardinal to convey his sentiments of heartfelt sympathy to the relatives and friends of the victims for the disaster which struck the territory.

Comfort following 'grave calamity'

While assuring fervent prayers of suffrage for the deceased and expressing condolences to their families, the Pope invoked comfort from God for the wounded, and consolation for those who are suffering the consequences "of the grave calamity."

Pope Francis expressed his gratitude to all those, amid great difficulty, are working to bring relief and alleviate all suffering, and to diocesan communities "for their manifestation of communion and fraternal closeness to the most-tried populations."

The Holy Father concluded by offering his Apostolic Blessing to all, as a sign of special spiritual closeness. He also relayed the prayers of Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

Climate Crisis provoking global tragedy

As the deadly Italian rains wreaked havoc, across the globe, various climate catastrophes are killing many people and causing dramatic damage.

Earlier this week, powerful Cyclone Mocha slammed between Myanmar’s port city of Sittwe and Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, home to nearly one million mostly Rohingya refugees, killing at least six people, causing hundreds of injuries and provoking a vast communications blackout that has left relief workers struggling to assess the extent of the damage.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Malawi from tropical Cyclone Freddy has surpassed 1000, confirmed Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwer in April.

BOMBSHELL! POPE FRANCIS INTERRUPTS WEDNESDAY AUDIENCE FOR A PHONE CALL!!!

It was an important call from a spy about a TLM advertisement either in a bulletin or on a blog:

Pope Francis interrupts General Audience to take a phone call

A great silence reigned in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday after Pope Francis interrupted the General Audience for a few minutes to take a phone call.

“Santita, grave news!!! It seems the 5 am Tuesday traditional Mass in Saint Pancras, Springfield, North Dakota, has been announced in the parish bulletin!”

- Maledettissimi indietristi!!!! I just hate those Yanquis!!!

POPE FRANCIS HAS CALLED THE CHURCH, ALL OF US, TO BE A LISTENING CHURCH—WHY ARE THERE SO MANY WHO ARE OPPOSED TO LISTENING TO DISAGREEING VOICES?

Thus, the synodal process entails bishops’ consultation of the faithful throughout the world, he noted, “with particular attention paid to anything that the most alienated souls might suggest,” those whom Francis refers to as on the “peripheries.”

Progressives who support every word and opinion of Pope Francis as guided by the Holy Spirit and thus infallible, were outraged by Bishop Strickland posing his opinion about the dangers of Pope Francis’ creeping infallibility.

Be sure of this, if someone is telling you that this, that or the other of the synodal Church is of the Holy Spirit and thus not to be questioned, question the hell out of it! It isn’t infallible except for the creeping infallibility community.

Thus, as a part of the synodal Church, we need to listen carefully to Bishop Strickland and the SSPX when they speak the truth.

What this SSPX priest writes about is exactly what I was taught in the seminary, a very Pope Francis’ seminary, in the late 1970’s, before the election of St. Pope John Paul II. The hierarchical Church along with its Patriarchy had to be turned upside down.

We know that the SSPX is in an irregular situation with the Church, euphemistically called “schismatic” but it hasn’t been declared officially to be in schism since the pope has to do that and no pope has issued a formal document stating they are.

Thus listen to what the SSPX is saying. They are saying exactly what I was taught the Church should become way backwards in the late 1970’s! Press the title:

Synod aims to turn Church upside down so that ‘sheep become the shepherds’: SSPX Superior General

Fr. Davide Pagliarani declared that the Synod on Synodality shows a revolutionary conception of the Catholic Church in which God reveals Himself through the ‘experience of the people of God’ rather than through Scripture and Tradition.

SNOWFLAKE TRADITIONALISTS AND THE CULTURE OF VICTIMIZATION…I SAY TO YOU:

Everyone knows that if I were the pope, I would be in continuity with Pope Benedict XVI and His Holiness liberalism and a bit of “live and let live” theology.

He knew well, because he is a true liberal, not faux, that both forms of the one Roman Rite could co-exist even in the same parish. They have in my parishes and without divisiveness.

He knew that fidelity to revealed doctrines, dogmas and moral teachings of the Church isn’t idolatry, but faithfulness to the source of these, Divine Truth who is Jesus Christ.

But alas I am not pope and the pope we now have is a pope of rupture with almost every moment of healing for the Church since the election of St. Pope John Paul II in 1978.

Pope Francis has recovered in a very backward way all the controversies, liturgical and otherwise, burning hot in 1978, when the John Paul II and Benedict XVI era began. I know this first hand as I was in this country’s most liberal seminary and most famous, St. Mary’s in Roland Park, Baltimore.

I was always taught that those who condemn this, that and the other in the most OCD way are more often than not, guilty of the very things they condemn. For this pope, it is backwardism of which he is most guilty. But his backwardism is the period of 1968 to 1978.

Nonetheless we are Catholic by our commitment to our baptismal promises and all the other promises and vows we have made within Catholicism, such as marriage, priesthood and fidelity to the pope.

For those traditionalists who are snowflakes and just can’t stand in-house persecution from the non-liberal far left of the Church; who are a caricature of true snowflakes and pouting that they can’t get their way so they quit either the Church, their vocation or the truth, I say to you:

CARDINAL BURKE CELEBRATES THE MODERN VERNACULAR MASS FOR THE FEAST OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA AT NEW JERSEY’S BLUE ARMY SHRINE

AND THE GOOD CARDINAL CELEBRATES THE VERNACULAR MASS AD ORIENTEM!

But, unfortunately, as simplified as the rubrics are for the Modern Mass, those at the altar, apart from Cardinal Burke, stumble over each other in a less that choreographed manner, kind a chaotic to say the least.

And the MC realizing that the altar mic is not on, walks around the ad orientem Cardinal Burke to turn it on and of course to tap it a few times while the Cardinal is leading the vernacular Confiteor.

When the liturgy is dumbed now, it is dumbed down even further by those who have no liturgical sense that the TLM inspires. Oh well!

WHAT’S UP WITH THIS? ISN’T THE COPTIC POPE EVEN MORE BACKWARDS AND RESTORATIONIST THAN POOR CATHOLICS IN FULL UNION WITH THE POPE OF ROME ALTHOUGH THEY PREFER A “BACKWARDS” LITURGY LIKE THE COPTIC POPE?

The Coptic Pope, who is in schism with the Pope of Rome, was allowed to celebrate a very valid Divine Liturgy at the Pope’s Cathedral and upon the main altar of Saint John Lateran.

Oddly, enough, the schismatic Coptic Pope celebrated the Coptic Orthodox Divine Liturgy with his back to the nave of the Basilica , which means he actually faced west. Odd!

That must have driven the pope of Rome’s liturgist wild to see that kind of backwardness.

By the way, Bishop Strickland corrected himself and has stated that the SSPX, unlike the Orthodox Coptics, are not in schism. I suspect Bishop Fellay will be invited to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of the Latin Rite at the Lateran Basilica shortly, since he, unlike the pope of the Coptics, isn’t in schism.

This is a commentary by someone else on the Coptic Liturgy as the Lateran:

Coptic Pope celebrates divine liturgy in Saint John Lateran. Unlike the anglican "mass" celebrated there , I have no complaints against this one. Unlike the anglican "bishop" Pope Tawadros is a real priest and a real bishop and the Coptic Orthodox Church is a real apostolic church as opposed to the anglicans who are considered to be just an ecclessial community. Transubstantiation occurred and Our Lord was made present during that divine liturgy and the sacrifice has been consummated.

THIS IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS…

JUST LIKE POPE FRANCIS’ SYNODAL WAY IS NOT A POLITICAL PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE TO CORRUPT THE CHURCH’S SACRAMENTAL ANTHROPOLOGY, FAITH AND MORALS…

This was Mother’s Day Traditional Latin Mass. And guess what? I prayed the Prayers of the Faithful with the faithful’s response during the Mass. Look at what point of the Mass I did this below these non-advertising photos in random order:

The Universal Prayer, aka, the Prayers of the Faithful, aka, the General Intercessions, aka, the Bidding Prayers, were prayed as the conclusion of the stunning, brilliant, inspiring, moving, homily I gave but as a part of the same homily:

(Please kneel and pray for God’s blessings upon all our mothers.)

P. Our help is in the name of the Lord.

R. Who made heaven and earth.

For our mothers, who have given us life and love, that we may show them reverence and love, and others who show us a mother’s love, we pray to the Lord.

For adoptive mothers and for the women who wish to give birth but experience challenges, that they know your care, we pray to the Lord.

For mothers who have lost a child through death, that their faith may give them hope, and their family and friends support and console them, we pray to the Lord.

For those who wish to serve as mothers, but are not able to do so, that they know your comfort, we pray to the Lord.

For mothers who have died, that God may bring them into the joy of his kingdom, we pray to the Lord.

Let us pray:

Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, so you give life and care for your Church.

Bless + these women, as we celebrate this day in their honor. May they be strengthened as Christian mothers.

Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.

Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor and appreciate them with a spirit of profound respect.

May the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and our Blessed Mother, inspire them to live their vocation as Christian mothers and call their children to faith.

Guide and protect them in challenging times and help them to continue to trust in you all the days of their life.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

ROYAL CORONATION BOMBSHELL!

For all the remarkable Catholic touches advertised before the #Coronation, seems the most “unthinkable” of all was kept til after the day – the copes used by Canterbury & other Anglican chiefs in Abbey were loaned by (Romish, Papist) Westminster Cathedral: bit.ly/3I3j9Ny

IT APPEARS THAT NOT ONLY BISHOP SRICKLAND IS OPPOSED TO POPE FRANCIS’ PROGRAM

It does seem that Pope Francis leadership of the Church and His Holiness political/ambassadorial leadership is being seriously questioned and rejected in both the religious and political spheres:

It does seem that President Zelensky is offering a moral analysis of aggressor and victim and the injustice of the aggressor who must be stopped, than Pope Francis has offered to the suffering people of the Ukraine. I am sure the pope wants to end their suffering but the pope’s moral voice has been seriously weakened by major missteps in the enunciating Catholic principles of just war which the Ukrainian president, who is not Catholic, but a Jew, I believe, does enunciate.

Orthodoxy in Church teaching (right teaching) leads to Orthopraxis, the correct practice of the Faith or at least the Church’s moral principles.

This is an excerpt from John Allen’s Sunday morning Crux commentary:

During a keenly anticipated visit yesterday to Rome that included a 40-minute encounter with Pope Francis, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made it crystal clear that whatever secret peace plan the Vatican may be cooking up, he’s not interested.

In a tweet shortly after the meeting concluded, Zelensky said he’d pressed Francis “to condemn crimes in Ukraine. Because there can be no equality between the victim and the aggressor.”

Speaking later during a special program on Italian television broadcast from Rome’s famed “Altar of the Fatherland” in the Piazza Venezia, Zelensky flatly ruled out a mediating role for the pontiff or the Vatican.

“With all due respect for His Holiness, we don’t need a mediator between Ukraine and the aggressor that’s seized and occupied our territory,” Zelensky said.

“No one can negotiate with Russia,” Zelensky said. “There can be no mediators.”

“They took away citizenship from people in the occupied territories,” he said, referring to Russian forces. “They forced them to go fight on the front. They tossed out all Ukrainian instruction. They prohibited the Ukrainian language. They forbade having a Ukrainian church. They brought abuses and evil.”

“You can’t have mediation with Putin,” Zelensky emphasized. “We know the consequences … it’s not a question of the Vatican, or America, or Latin America, or China, or any country in the world. Putin only kills, you can’t have a mediation with him.”

The Ukrainian leader implied that if the Vatican wants to do something constructive, it should get on board with Ukraine’s own peace plan.

“For me, it was an honor to meet His Holiness,” Zelensky said.

“However, he knows my position and the position of Ukraine. The war is in Ukraine, and therefore the plan [for peace] has to be Ukrainian. We’ve proposed a plan, and we discussed it today. We’re very interested in involving the Vatican and Italy in our formula for peace, for restoring the peace in Ukraine.”

Headlines in the Italian press drew the obvious conclusion: “Zelensky rejects the pope’s peace plan,” reported Il Giornale, while Il Fatto Quotidiano went with, “Zelensky freezes out the pope, wants to negotiate on his own” and Il Manifesto had, “The pope’s plan isn’t needed.”

THIS APPEARS TO BE GOOD NEWS

NEWS  DIOCESE OF KNOXVILLE

Vatican to ask Stika for resignation

The embattled Bishop Rick Stika will be asked by Vatican officials to resign as Bishop of Knoxville, after more than two years of scandal over the bishop’s leadership of his eastern Tennessee diocese.

YIKES! POOR POPE FRANCIS! HIS HOLINESS GETS FRANK CHATTER FROM ALL SIDES, THE SCHISMATIC PRELATES, CARDINALS, CLERGY AND LAITY OF GERMANY AND THE FRANK BISHOP FROM THE PERIPHERIES OF THE USA, TYLER, TEXAS…

I Wonder if Bishop Strickland will soon be made to join the ranks of unassigned bishops like Muller, Burke and Gainswain.

I personally think the good bishop crossed the line, a tad. But let me be the first to imitate Pope Francis’ in his dislike of judgement: “Who am I to judge?”

And who the heck is Patrick Coffin? Did he invent coffins for canceled clergy and laity?

Please allow me to clarify regarding, “Patrick Coffin has challenged the authenticity of the Pope Francis.” If this is accurate I disagree, I believe Pope Francis is the Pope but it is time for me to say that I reject his program of undermining the Deposit of Faith. Follow Jesus.
