YIKES! THIS PRIEST WHO WAS EXCOMMUNICATED ON NEW YEARS DAY FOR A HOMILY HE GAVE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE IS A PRIEST OF THE DIOCESE OF LIVORNO WHERE MY MOTHER IS FROM AND I HAVE FIRST COUSINS AND OTHER COUSINS, LOTS OF THEM!

Update from Lifesite that fills in info not included in the Crux link below:

Italian outlet Ansa, however, provided some missing details and reported that Guidetti had declared during his December 31 homily that Pope Francis “is not the pope,” but that he is a “usurper.”

Communist outlet La Stampa added that Guidetti declared Francis is “a Jesuit Freemason” and that “everyone knows that he is not the pope but nobody does anything.”

Guidetti attested that Pope Benedict XVI, who died on December 31, 2022, “never gave up on the Petrine munus” and thus “left this world with everything that belongs to the pope.”

He added that Benedict was “the famous katechon of which we speak in the second letter of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians, he is the one who held back the mystery of iniquity and then released it because this iniquity had to be revealed.”

Commenting on the excommunication’s incredible speed, Guidetti declared “I am serene and calm,” whilst being “amazed at the speed with which the guillotine cut its umpteenth head.”

According to Ansa, Guidetti’s comments were made on a radio interview conducted by a Palermo priest Fr. Alessandro Minutella, also excommunicated for his attitude towards Pope Francis in 2018.

I am impressed with the quickness of the excommunication and wonder if there isn’t more to this than meets the eye because of how quickly it occurred. This priest is a priest of the Diocese of Livorno, which always has been a hotbed of Italian communism. My mother was in her 20’s when World War II broke out and Livorno was the most heavily bombed city in Italy during the war. Nazis were stationed there in large numbers because of its strategic location as a major port city.

The priest’s remarks are classic Italian snark and sarcasm. I just love Italy. Read the Crux article by pressing the title:

Isn’t denial of the Pope’s legitimacy automatic excommunication? If so, then he kicked his own scaffold latch.

Indeed he did, RCG!
