AND I AM SO GLAD THAT VATICAN II DEMANDED THAT HISTORIC HIGH ALTARS NO LONGER BE USED BECAUSE THESE ARE SO FAR REMOVED FROM THE PEOPLE AND NEW SMALLER AND SAFER ALTARS MUST REPLACE THESE, BUT NEVER GATED OFF WITH A GOD-SEPARATING ALTAR RAILING.
GOD’S HOLY PEOPLE, AS VATICAN II DEMANDED, MUST NOT BE FENCED OFF FROM THE TABLE OF THE LORD AS THOUGH THEY ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS TRYING TO GAIN ACCESS ILLEGALLY TO THE ALTAR, AS VATICAN II CLEARLY TAUGHT.

As a rule, people who feel that way are ignorant of the fact the religion is an extension/fulfillment of Judaism and its tent/temple culture which had the separation of that which was holy from that which was not holy...
and generally because those ignorant people no longer believe at all in things made holy and set apart only for service to God....they may SAY they do, but they really don't believe that as they still wonder if there is a God at all, and generally live at if there is no God to whom they owe their very existence and all the cosmos in which they live.
A sledgehammer would take care of this problem
