CAN THE SYNODAL PROCESS LEAD TO NEW PATHS THAT REMOVE ALL IMPEDIMENTS TO ORDINATION AS A DEACON, PRIEST OR BISHOP?

This little ditty was reported by Vatican News this week!

A question about women deacons

Journalists present in the Holy See Press Office were reminded there are nearly 40 women at the Synod. Many more participated in the pre-Synodal consultations. The Church has a feminine face, said Sister Echeverri, she is Mother. There is a path for us to pursue as women, she added. We are not protagonists because many others have gone before us, like Saint Clare. She went on to mention the indigenous women of the Amazon, mothers and grandmothers. The Church discerns, she added. We do not know if this is the moment, but many people are seeking the “feminine face of the Church”, not one of of power, but of service. This is a moment of grace, “Kairos”. This is part of the discernment toward new paths, she concluded.

Can all impediments to ordination be undone (Mary, untier of knots pray for us) through discernment toward new paths and lead also to same sex marriage and men, women, LGBTQ ordination and people who look like this?

Bee here :

If you take away a greed and power factor (meaning, the Church has a lot of assets and temporal power), why in the world would someone, woman or man, homosexual or whatever, want to belong to it?
Other churches offer the message of faith without the impediments.

It can't be because of the sacraments, because of course to be forgiven sins one must confess them, and there seems to be some problem with accepting what the Church considers sin. And it can't be the Eucharist, since most people don't believe in the Real Presence anymore.

So is it the power? The greed? If not, and since women can be "priests" in other churches, why change the Church that doesn't allow that? Just move over to one that suits you... Or start your own. Then you can get everyone to look at your face all the livelong day...

God Bless.
