SAINT ANNE'S PASTORAL COUNCIL DECIDES TO GO ALL EXTRAORDINARY FORM, DIOCESAN PASTORAL COUNCIL APPLAUDS DECISION AND SLAPS EACH OTHER ON THE BACK AND GIVES HIGH FIVES IN THE GREAT ADVANCEMENT OF LAY SYNODALITY!
Interesting! So did you convince your pastoral council to participate in an EF Mass with some sort of acknowledgement from the Diocese? Please tell us more.
No way Father...I'm on to you....April Fool! But it would be great if you had one EF Mass per Sunday. You'd start drawing all kinds of people from all over for that. Little by little you'd have pretty full pews for that Mass on Sunday.
Interestingly, I was at a retreat at my parish last weekend, and during it the priest who gave the retreat cited some statistics (I don't recall his source): He said in a poll taken of those who attend TLM Masses:
- 99% attend Mass each Sunday vs. 22% for NOM; - 98% participated in annual confession and weekly Mass vs. 25% NOM; - 1% (that many?!!) think abortion is okay vs 51% for NOM; - 2% think artificial birth control is okay vs 89% NOM; - offertory giving rate was 6% (as opposed to 1.2% of Novus Ordo attendees); - and birth rate was 3.6 vs. 2.3 for NOM Catholics.
Now, what are the teachings of our Church on these issues?

Is this a joke?
What is no joke is that the altar looks Catholic when dressed for the EF Mass. Add an antipedium and the look would be complete

Bee, I just can’t wait for MJK to respond to you—find that source if you can!
Anonymous,
MJK only cares about facts if they support his left-wing world view.

Regarding the source of the statistics on TLM attendees: It appears to be this:
