WHEREIN A CARDINAL OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ACTUALLY GETS IT! AMAZING!

Vatican Cardinal Becciu: financial penalties for those who violate professional secrecy and a bunch of other stuff

"Those who have homosexual tendencies should not remain in the seminary and should not become priests", he says quoting the pope’s words. "Whoever goes to the priesthood is called to make a vow of chastity. As we well know, the day of the priest takes place mainly in contact with other men, especially for those who live in religious communities, and to save their chastity, rules of prudence in the relationship with women are recommended. Would a homosexual who shares consistently, in space and time, his life with others of the same sex be able to easily live out the chastity he promised? Wouldn't it be too much to expect from him?".

But it is a different story for those who have homosexual tendencies but are already priests (or even bishops and cardinals): "They are required to observe their priestly promises and if they are not able to do so, or if they offer scandal, it will be right that - for the good of the Church - they withdraw to private life, just as it is demanded -with the same severity- to an heterosexual consecrated person", Becciu affirms.

I believe he will be sent for re-education under Fr James Martin till he learns proper bridge building techniques.

To say that he is "quoting the pope's words" has rather lost its power if he is trying to say the the Holy Father has a consistent policy in keeping with the Catechism. One has to look at the record, rather than the words, especially from a pope who speaks so freely and in such contradictory terms.

For example, the National Catholic Register recently ran a story about how the Archbishop of Malta appears to be towing the anti-Catechism line on LGBT issues. Most troubling, is that it points out that a Father Kevin Schembri recently made several pro-LGBT remarks that apparently rebuked the Catechism on a TV show and this Fr. Schembri is known as "representing Pope Francis' point man on sexual abuse in the Church." Schembri apparently teaches Canon Law! You can read it here:

Or what of the drug-fueled homosexual orgy that was raided by police in a CDF building in Rome? The apartment belonged to the secretary of Cardinal Coccopalmiero, PRESIDENT OF THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL OF LEGISLATIVE TEXTS. The article also suggests that the Cardinal had recently recommended his secretary be promoted to BISHOP!

Or, closer to home, we have the archbishop of Atlanta, a man who opened wide the doors for all things LGBT in his diocese being promoted to Washington D.C., where he will likely be created as a cardinal. This, in a diocese that has not recovered from the homosexual abuse of its "well respected" Cardinal McCormick.

Words are only words. We have to see what these leaders are actually doing. And what are they doing? Creating few opportunities to feed their lambs and creating many opportunities for the dry martyrdom of the very people they are supposed to protect and serve.

60s Survivor,

The sad conclusion that must be reached is that sodomites occupy seats of power within the Church and they want Holy Church to confirm its doctrine to their perverted behavior. They need to be outed and repudiated.
