Off to the dentist this afternoon! Yesterday, I made a thin pizza on a keto tortilla and on the first bite the crown of my front tooth came off. Thank goodness I didn’t swallow it! Need to get it fixed before I smile again and the wedding I have at our Cathedral Basilica on Saturday! Ugh! I didn’t realize what a lisp I would have at the 8 am Mass at Holy Family Church on Hilton Head for the Feast of Saint Benedict the Abbot!

HA! I spent yesterday morning in the periodontist's chair getting the base installed for the implant that will hold my new molar! God bless Dr. Rawlings, Michelle, his nurse, and the people who invented C18H13ClFN3, aka "Versed." The whole process so far has been 100% painless.
I have no memories of yesterday from about 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. when I woke up on the sofa in my living room! Somewhere in those lost hours I ate an oreo blizzard, a large one. (God bless my sister, too, who was my designated driver.)
Speaking of getting older....
This popped up in my memories - this is hysterical! To commemorate her 79 birthday , actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall. One of the musical numbers she performed was 'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the lyrics she used - If you sing it, its especially funny!!!
Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache, When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.
(Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd
that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores.
Know if this had happened on October 30, you would have been all ready for Halloween.
Goad to hear our priests are successfully completing their 150,000 mile check ups.
Father McDonald, may your visit to your dentist go well.
Pax.
