The innovative pope graciously received the gift of a white saturno. Radical. At least the Holy Father didn’t slap it out of the person’s hand scowling at him and the Saturn.🪐
Thanks for that great link, a must read. Pope Francis was a study in psychology, because he often complained about things that he was most guilty of. What is the psychology of “who am I to judge” and then twice calling same sex attracted men faggots and caught doing so???? Here is the moneybyte from your linked article: A few days ago, at a daily Mass, Pope Francis preached against the dangers of worldliness among clerics (certainly something to be wary of). In an attempt to illustrate his point he related an anecdote about a young priest in a clerical clothing store in Rome trying on a cape and Saturno. An older monseigneur made fun of the young priest, accusing him of being feminine for his choice of attire. (You can read the story here). Pope Francis was no doubt attempting to make a humorous point about clerics who are too attached to “fancy dress,” but he has been criticized for the way he chose to do so, at the expense of the young priest in the story and many other priests who wear traditional clerical attire. The story he told amounted to gossip, something the Pope himself has warned against, thus proving once more that humans often have trouble taking their own advice.

Has he brought it back or did he just put on a hat someone presented to him? Also I thought the Saturn was red.

I think I like white better than red with the white cassock. Better than a baseball cap 🧢 he also wore.

Interesting I wonder if the profits will go to charity?
Clerical headgear? Looks ridiculous! /s
Anyway, Leo received this gift as graciously as the Impeccable Francis holy holy holy received that blasphemous Commie crucifix.

Apparently this saturno was at one point worn by John XXIII.
And don't forget the nasty things the Sanctifier Francis said about priests who dare to wear the saturno--comparing them to cross-dressers.

I’m surprised. I thought the papal Saturno would be red like JP2. Most photos of John xxiii are in red except one of white.
