This is what that great liturgical theologian and influencer of Pope Francis’ theology of the Mass and possibly the ghost-writer of Traditionis Custodis had to say about the Eucharistic piety of Saint Carlo:
Andrea Grillo:
How is it possible that a young blessed can communicate a Eucharistic theology so old, so heavy, obsessive, focused on the inessential and so neglected instead on the decisive things? How is it possible that all the progress that the Church has made in the last 70 years, in terms of understanding the ecclesial value of the Eucharist and its celebration, has been communicated, in such a distorted way to the young ardent communicator, so much so as to suggest to him an understanding so deficient, so defective, so one-sided? Who indulged him in this interest in "miracles", neglecting the true miracle?
Pope Leo XIV:
Both Pier Giorgio and Carlo cultivated their love for God and for their brothers and sisters through simple acts, available to everyone: daily Mass, prayer, and especially Eucharistic Adoration. Carlo used to say: “In front of the sun, you get a tan. In front of the Eucharist, you become a saint!” And again: “Sadness is looking at yourself; happiness is looking at God. Conversion is nothing more than shifting your gaze from below to above; a simple movement of the eyes is enough.”
Another essential practice for them was frequent Confession. Carlo wrote: “The only thing we really have to fear is sin;” and he marveled because — in his own words — “people are so concerned with the beauty of their bodies and do not care about the beauty of their souls.”
Finally, both had a great devotion to the saints and to the Virgin Mary, and they practiced charity generously. Pier Giorgio said: “Around the poor and the sick, I see a light that we do not have” (Nicola Gori, Al prezzo della vita: L’Osservatore romano, 11 February 2021). He called charity “the foundation of our religion” and, like Carlo, he practiced it above all through small, concrete gestures, often hidden, living what Pope Francis called “a holiness found in our next-door neighbors” (Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate, 7).

Andrea Grillo must have been unaware that Pope Francis (requiescat in pace), and Saint Carlo Acutis, were mirror images of each other in regard to Eucharistic piety.
In addition, Pope Francis had championed recognition of Saint Carlo's holiness/Eucharistic piety.
=======
Pope Leo XIV yesterday had called attention to the connection between Saint Carlo (as well as Saint Pier) and Pope Francis. Andrea Grillo would do well to recognize that.
=======
Andrea Grillo would do well to heed the following from Pope Leo XIV:
"Both Pier Giorgio and Carlo cultivated their love for God and for their brothers and sisters through simple acts, available to everyone..."
(That links Saint Carlo, as well as Pope Francis, to each other.)
=======
Pope Leo XIV: "Another essential practice for them was frequent Confession."
(Another link to Pope Francis.)

Note to Andrea Grillo:
To dismiss Saint Carlo Acutis' Eucharistic piety is to dismiss Pope Francis' Eucharistic piety.

I was distributing Holy Communion at a Nuptial Mass on Saturday and a young boy of 8-9 years of age, knelt down to receive the host on his tongue (no altar railing or prie dieu . No adult followed suit. I was so proud of that young man. He is the future and it is looking brighter to me all the time
Andrea Grillo has also recently attacked St. Carlo's "sainthood kit," which essentially amounts to 1. Go to Mass, 2. pray the rosary, 3. go to confession, 4. go to Adoration, 5. read the Bible, 6. ask the Lord for the graces you need, 7. ask you guardian angel for help.
Grillo called it "embarrassing."
All I can say is, even if he hadn't been canonized, the kid had to be alright to promote such venomous and juvenile attacks from a man who has repeatedly shown himself to be both vicious and heterodox.

MT,
St. Carlo managed to kneel before the Blessed Sacrament. I guess he and the Impeccable Francis (p. be upon him) could be mirror images if kneeling and standing are opposites.

I looked at Carlo’s website - it doesn’t work!
Was Grillo always so ugly or has he come to reflect his views in his appearance
