BEFORE AND AFTER

St. Martin of Tours Church in Louisville was seriously damaged by an anarchist high on drugs. Of course it made local and state news, but not national news. Given the number of Catholic altars and statues being vandalized, I wonder why the MSM seems so nonchalant?

I know that church well. For about three years I was a frequent visitor to Louisville and that parish church. There was always a security guard sitting at the desk in the back of the church. I wonder how this could have happened!

Likely because the vandal was caught immediately & appears to be a mentally ill person under the influence of drugs. Despite Father McDonald’s attempted spin, none of the statements by the pastor attributed any political or religious motive. The vandalism was terrible, of course. In most American cities , including Savannah, there are too many unfortunates walking the street without homes, treatment or Christian charity.

The security guard actually stopped the attack. It was a flurry of activity during adoration and that damage was done in moments.

Anarchy is like COVID 19 and is especially severe on those who are compromised.

This is unfortunate, but it is an opportunity for the pastor to restore the sanctuary without the altar facing the people.

I know this church too. I've attended the EF Mass on a couple of occasions when my wife and I were scouting the Louisville area to think about if it might be a good place to escape to from the toilet known as Illinois. Vandalizing churches and Catholic icons have been popular activities by scum violent protestors. This seems to be no coincidence that this happens when these despicable acts have become common occurrences from political left wing anarchists. Regardless if the person is psychologically crippled doesn't mean he can't also possess political beliefs. Most left wingers are psychologically crippled in some form so, the guy who did this to a Catholic treasure seems to be consistent with his cohorts who are thought of as being sane by Democrat leadership. You're on the right track Father MacDonald as you usually are and the likelihood that insanity is being used as a excuse for a deliberate action is very plausible. Thanks for posting this and your honest assessment of what happened, although it's heartbreaking to see the damage done to the church that was beautiful.

Michael A - With your attitide and language - "toilet known as Illinois," "scum violent protesters," "psychologically crippled," - you can move anywhere you want, but you will be taking the toilet with you.
