ROCCO PALMA IS MORE CONVOLUTED IN HIS ITALIAN ENGLISH THAN I AM SO RIDDLE HIM BACK

A snapshot of the breadth – and relativism – of a truly unprecedented news-year, the same folks who rejoiced in the dumping of statues in the Tiber at its start (https://bit.ly/2JGaxhJ  ) now stand outraged over the toppling of other cultural symbols in the US.

Riddle us that.

Earlier, I compared this activity to the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward. I think the French Revolution may be a better template.

Bee here:

It could also be said that those who were near apoplectic at the throwing of those carved idols into the Tiber are less than ruffled about the tearing down of Catholic statues in the U.S.

God bless.

What we see here is the total take down of the Untied States right before our very eyes, this was NEVER about George Floyd or racism we all know that. Read about the BLM movement, it was founded by three Black Lesbian Marxist-Leninists with the goal of destroying the family unit, Christianity, the White population, it is pure evil with Satan leading it. President Trump and Tucker Carlson are the two men telling us what is happening to us as we watch nightly at the destruction of our cities, statues, stores, homes, and all who are in the way of ANTIFA and the BLM terrorists. The Democrat party of your parents and grandparents are in no way what they are today. The Democrat party HATES America and wishes it to be destroyed and replaced with a Marxist government, the Left controls the education system, media, entertainment, pro-sports, the military and our children, who like Trump said Friday night from Mt. Rushmore are taught from grade school to hate our country. My friends it is time to start and fight back for our very lives are at stake, they will come for us in the suburbs when the cities are under their control. George Orwell predicted this and he was no conservative but was wise enough to see that 1984 would come true in 2020.

I didn’t like those statues being tossed into the Tiber, I don’t like statues being torn down by an “angry “ mob. Vandalism is vandalism.

Anonymous,

Then I guess you would have a problem with Saint Boniface who chopped down a tree that the pagans in Germany worshiped?

You had a problem with the pachimama statues being tossed into the Tiber??? You truly need help my friend

Oh I am very late to the Pachamama conversation. The person or persons that threw them into the Tiber should be given a ticker tape parade in Saint Peters Square.

With regard to what Bee said, I would like to offer for consideration that first and foremost the "apopleptic" reaction was brought about by the threat and disrespect to our GOD. That is surely going to invoke a deeper and more volatile reaction than the taking down of a statue whose history perhaps they aren't even aware of, and that is not a threat to everything they believe. I am not saying that you are not correct in your assessment, but the Pachamama debacle struck a different kind of nerve. Just my thoughts.

I have to correct myself. I went back and Bee did specifically state " Catholic Statues" so that changes things as well as my response. I still do not think Bee is wrong in her assessment. But I do believe that a more deeply personal nerve Was struck watching that idol being bowed before in the Vatican gardens. I am not even saying that less than ruffled is okay....but frankly even for myself the sickening sight of a Fransican bowing before that idol was just too much.

Too much of a broad brush. You can oppose both and do so emphatically
although also with a measures response as well
