This is from 1992 and is somewhat dated in terms of the hot-button issues back then. However the corruption of the Catholic Faith that she decries, many would believe is the root rot that has brought us what we are experiencing in 2019. What do you think?

Mother Angelica had more guts and manliness than the US hierarchy combined
One of her more overwrought moments.
Thank you for posting this, Father; it was good to see it again. I watched this live while living in Phoenix, AZ, and I was on her side. When she was on live later with Bishop Chaput, he said something to the effect of 'When bishops act like nuns, then nuns will act like bishops.' He was clearly on her side too.
Mother experienced much persecution after this statement from liberal theologians and their bishop pawns, but she had the backing of JPII. May she intercede for us now as we live out what she had prophesied.
Anonymous Kavanaugh,
Adding nothing to the debate as usual. Ya, it's hell that she is a genuine Catholic, unlike many of our priests and bishops. I suspect Mother Angelica is responsible for more converts and vocations than you are.
Mother added nothing to the debate, either. She stated her likes and dislikes, made some rather outrageous remarks about "blasphemy," put on her best "angry" face, and let go with both barrels.
"Can you imagine a woman playing the role of Abraham Lincoln in a mime?" Yes, I can. It is called "suspension of disbelief." You have engaged in it when you watched a magician saw a woman in half. I have seen plays staged with minimal on-stage props that represent something else. A chair and a table represent a courtroom, a person standing on a wooden platform represents the location of a pier on the water. Two trees in the background represent a thick, Bavarian forest.
Every time I see Sir Alec Guinness portraying Prince Faisal in Lawrence of Arabia, I engage in suspension of disbelief. (It makes me chuckle, but I go with it for the sake of the film.)
Wiki says, "This might be used to refer to the willingness of the audience to overlook the limitations of a medium, so that these do not interfere with the acceptance of those premises."
Mother was overwrought.
Some would say she was passionate not overwrought. I think that is what Catholics miss the most about her as Mother was one of the few who let you know what she really thought and her passion for her perspective. Bishops could still learn much from this uncanonized saint. I think Mother would like the "un" the best!
Anonymous Kavanaugh,
Knock off the snark and go out and make some converts and vocations.
Bee here:
I know she let loose with both barrels on this one. I thought her outrage was refreshing. It was about time someone spoke up. It was about time someone who had a platform to speak up what many many of us often think. It's not about "conservative" or "progressive." It's about our CHURCH! It's about the HOLY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, about consistency with the past, about continuity with all that came before, and carrying on what was given at the beginning, when Our Lord instituted the Church.
"Our Church as literally been taken away from us in this country."
"I'm tired. I am so tired of you, liberal Church in America."
Me. Too. Me too, Mother.
For a long time. A long, long time.
God bless.

My drunk Uncle Jack let's us know what he really thinks, but that doesn't qualify him for much of anything.
She was overwrought.
Anonymous,
You uncle must be a lot like Kavanaugh
He seems overwrought over Mother Angelica, otherwise he wouldn't keep posting under Anonymous
Anon,
She was NOT overwrought, she was RIGHT!
