Protestants and Catholics are turning the Church into a market place! Not like the market that Jesus cleanses which was the Jewish Temple, but the selling of Christianity to consumers who don't want the truth or salvation but their version of the truth (aka--lies) and their version of salvation (aka--the acceptance of sin).
In an Associated Press story, three "denominations" (actually two, and the the third the true Church) are dealing with laity exiting the Church, what many now call "nones." These people are fed up with scandal (understandable) but also the fact that the Church's sexual morality does not see as virtuous homosexual sex, the gay agenda and same sex "marriage". These acts and ideologies are opposed to God, cut one off from sanctifying and actual grace and if lived persistently and arrogantly before God and the Church deserve the eternal fires of hell as punishment.
Of course if I am marketing Catholicism, I would never say that because who would want to buy it except those moved by the Holy Spirit and God's grace to accept it, convert and live the "Way, the Truth and the Life."
But let's talk about exclusion. I don't know about Protestant Churches, but I have never seen a gay person turned away from attending Mass and registering in a parish even is there is a so-called "gay marriage" involved. Of course if they disrupt the Mass in a public way with an anti-Catholic ideology by the clothes they wear, slogans on t-shirts and the like, they will be turned away.
Sinners who are Catholic are obligated under the pain of mortal sin to attend Mass each Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation. No one is excluded unless there is a censure from the bishop that requires radical exclusion, like a police warrant or something like that, extremely rare but it does happen.
Catholics are excluded from receiving Holy Communion in a state of unrepentant mortal sin especially if that mortal sin is institutionalized and made public in any way, such as invalid second unions while an there still exist a life-long Sacramental marriage.
Up until 1958 Catholics had to fast from midnight until the time of the Mass they attended. No food or drink, except water. The more rigid would refrain from Holy Communion if they accidentally swallowed some toothpaste! But they still were obligated to assist at or hear Mass!
Then the fast was changed to three hours before Mass in 1958 and one hour before Holy Communion in 1966.
One was free to break the fast if they chose to do so and therefore be excluded from receiving Holy Communion. But they were not dispensed from the Obligation under the penalty of mortal sin to hear or assist at Mass!
Catholics in good standing with the Church are required by Church law to receive Holy Communion only once a year and during Eastertide and to go to Confession for any mortal sins if these exist.
To make Catholicism more marketable by a flimsy inclusivity meme link solely to being allowed to receive Holy Communion is idolatry!

AMEN AMEN AMEN, been saying this for years end the communion conga line
At this point they may as well declare that God is so merciful that salvation is assured for all. So long as this occurs under the auspices of a pope it will be "true."
No effort required. Not THAT'S what I call religion!
Yay!!!
Well, the Catholic Church has certainly watered down its doctrine over time. Now, the Church is even less Biblical than before, and many Catholics are closet Universalists. Indeed, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The Church welcomes everyone who wants to reconcile themselves to God and His Law. Forgiveness is not permission. Things have been bad before but that doesn’t make this OK.
Anyone seeing reports that the Amazonian Synod will be discussing making the hosts out of YUCCA?
I mean don't these guy know or care that this will render the mass invalid?
Christ said "I am the BREAD of life."
This is utterly demonic and satanic if true!
Fathers, what say you?
"I am the BREAD of life."
BREAD in much of Ecuador is made with cassava flour.
Pao de Queijo (BREAD) in Brazil is also made from cassava.
Mapotuhayi (BREAD) in Zimbabwe is made from cornmeal.
Injera (BREAD) is Eritrea is made from teff, not wheat, flour.
Satanic/Demonic? Hardly.
So you are in favor of all these breads which most people would accept as bread 🍞 in any part of the world. Thus each congregation or better yet the priest chooses and mixes it up.
we could speed things along with a drive up window! Many more could be "served."
Yeah, take away Latin and confuse the mass with the hundreds of languages in the world... take away wheat and confuse the consecrated elements... (pizza and coke anyone?)
Sure all this will "unify" us...
Besides Anonymous, ask yourself what the Jews used for unleavened bread before spewing garbage!
Unfortunately the Church WANTS people like yourself. THEY no longer seem to want CATHOLICS,so I'm about done with whatever THIS "church" is... No actually, I AM done.
Well, Ezekiel's bread was made from wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt. And don't miss the fun part - it was baked on a fire the fuel for which was human excrement. (Ezekiel 4:9-12)
Typical unleavened bread, the Jewish kind, is made from flour, salt, olive oil, and water. That's the standard recipe for matzah. Bread for Passover is made from milk, butter, and flour.
Garbage? Not hardly.
Dan,
Please don't give up, the Kavanaughs of the clergy will soon be in nursing homes or in their grave. Many young priests I know, including diocesan priests, are saying the EF as their first public Mass as a priest.
A@ 10:16
You make my point. Allowing for all the varieties and tastes for bread 🥯 makes the reception of Holy Communion about the Bread not the Lord, real bread not the Lord’s Real Presence. THAT IS IDOLATRY!
Varieties are the basis for idolatry? Hardly.
Do you eat only linguini, or do you cook spaghetti, penne, and/or orecchiette (little priests' ears) from time to time? If so, you are in danger of idolizing pasta.
Does one tune play on your car radio, or is there a mixture of songs? That variety may well make you an idolator.
I'm perfectly happy with the wheat flour/water recipe for hosts, but I don't turn my cultural preferences into 1) a-historical rants about the Jews and unleavened bread or 2) silly flights of fancy about what constitutes idolatry.
When I am having a secular meal all the ingredients count and a variety of pastas and breads are enjoyed. But I don't worship these .
When I celebrate the Holy Sacrice of the Mass and complete the Sacrifice but consuming the Holocaust, the Body,Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Risen Christ, my worship is of Him not the accidents that veil the reality. So I am nothing thinking that this could have been hush puppies or corn bread to be morn meaningful for southern Catholics.
To worship the accidents of Holy Communion is idolatry!
'A-historical' rants about Jews? Really? You mean they didn't have a history? Or have a way of preparing unleavened bread?
Ha! Ha! Now I know I can ignore your garbage.
No, I mean, as I stated, your a historical rant which seems to include ignorance of the descriptions of bread in the Scriptures.
Dan,
Good choice because you are ignoring none other than Kavanaugh.
