THE ARROGANCE OF THE CURRENT PRESIDENT AND OF THE LIBERAL USA!

Sometimes I think I should return to my father's homeland and become a Canadian citizen or to my mother's homeland and become an Italian citizen. The only problem is that both of these countries are as much in free fall morally as any other nation in the world including the USA where I am proudly an American citizen.

Our current President along with the liberal politics of his party are quite arrogant and want to colonize the rest of the world with their ideologies! And thus we have the spectacle of a President of the United States, symbolically labeled the first gay president, chastising publicly the President of Kenya and the entire nation for their sexual morality as it concerns homosexuality and the nature of marriage.

On top of that, he chastises their culture's appreciation of women who stay at home and rear their children. Our President thinks that working women who have fewer children and make more money and have more possessions are the keys to progress. The President's mentality is what Pope Francis rails against in terms of Capitalism and the colonization of the world with ideologies that demean sexuality, women and legitimate progress and economic advancement.

I'm not saying that Kenya or any country doesn't have dark sides to their good cultural mores. However, I do know through my parochial vicar from Ghana that he and other Africans hate it when America tries to colonize Africa with American corrupt politics, sexuality and loose morals.

Oh, how I wish the President of Kenya had retorted to President Obama's arrogance by telling him to his face, "Mr. President, when you speak about the rights of the unborn and their right to be born and when you condemn Planned Parenthood and their macabre policies and practices and when you start going to Church every Sunday and experience Christian conversion, then maybe you will have some credibility in Kenya. But until then shut your damn, I'm sorry, I mean darn mouth!"

Regarding President Obama's words in Kenya regarding woman, he said, "There's no excuse for sexual assault or domestic violence. There's no reason that young girls should suffer genital mutilation. There's no place in civilized society for the early or forced marriage of children. These traditions may date back centuries but they have no place in the 21st century. These are issues of right and wrong in any culture. But their also issues of success and failure. Any nation that fails to educate its girls or employ its women and allowing them to maximize their potential is doomed to fall behind in the global economy."

Condemning sexual assault is not an ideology. Condemning genital mutilation is not an ideology. Condemning forced marriages is not an ideology. Condemning the denial of education to girls is not an ideology.

It is your reportage that is highly, highly ideological.

What President Obama did was more or less to push sodomy on to Kenya. I thought it was disgusting. He was so insistent that it did cause me to stop and wonder about his, ah, manliness ... Good on the President of Kenya for standing his ground.

Fr. K, there's also no place in the 21st century AD for the forced exposure of children to pornography and pornographic sex 'education' being thrust on young people via both the western secular media and the western governments under the guise of 'anti-bullying' programs or sex ed programs. No one needs to know anything at all about the LGBTQ agenda in order to be safe from STDs or unwanted pregnancy. No child needs to know all the methods and justifications for sodomy or learn about other sexual minorities' proclivities and shameful behaviors.

And yet our State Department IS promoting abortion, contraception, and the sexualization of minors both domestically and internationally as part and parcel of the US foreign policy imperative.

There is no valid science to back up the truth claims of the LGBTQ movement that their conditions are in fact "healthy" for them. The 'studies' presented by the APA are shoddy in methodology and flawed in their biased 'peer review' system - peer reviewed only by allies and colleagues of the LGBTQ political movement who have no incentive to be honest and every incentive to fudge their data and skew their methods...

Fortunately, the same science that is invoked -rightly so- by Obama to decry female mutilation and abuse of minors also proves that exposure to the LGBTQ propaganda is harmful to minors....the younger a child is exposed to messages promoting "sexual exploration" and promoting the idea of how fantastic 'self-pleasuring" is, the quicker they lose their virginity, the more likely they are to be sucked into the culture of death, get STIs and become abused by adults.

If we care about young girls in Kenya then we should care about all young people everywhere and fight against their abusers anywhere they show up.

"LGBIs are discriminated, stigmatised and subjected to violence because of their sexual orientation. In cases where they need medical care, they suffer stigma perpetuated by health care providers who breach their privacy and confidentiality by exposing their sexual orientation to other colleagues at the facilities. The health care providers are not friendly and hardly understand their sexual and reproductive health needs. ... LGBIs face physical harassment by members of public who mock and assault them for practicing "unnatural" sexual relations. In cases of assault by mob justice, the police often fail to come to their rescue. Upon arrest, police subject them to unnecessary body and house searches allegedly looking for evidence that could link them to other crimes. They are profiled as drug users, past prison convicts or individuals with track records of crimes. They often face arbitrary arrest, are often detained at the police stations, subjected to torture and unnecessary harassment by the police who extort money from them and are only released after bribing their way out. They also suffer sexual abuse from the arresting officers. ... When their identities are discovered, LGBIs cannot seek employment or undertake other forms of business - for example running a kiosk. Sometimes, they have to keep relocating to different residential areas to hide their identity. ... Further they are often evicted from their rental houses by neighbours and condemned for their orientation which is termed evil. In cases where they are not evicted ..., they are not allowed to use common utilities in the residential compounds such as swimming pools. LGBIs are also unable to access spiritual nourishment from the society because they are labelled as evil and the teachings in places of worship interpret LGBI activities as unnatural and unacceptable." - Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, April 2012

The desire to perpetuate such abuse does cause me to stop and wonder about the, ah, Christianity of those who see such as a good thing worth preserving.

There's a story that just hit the news and blogs and if true is an absolutely stunning and damning testimony to the malevolent designs of the LGBTQ movement...who claim that nothing can 'make' people Gay...while doing everything they do on the premise that exposure and abuse do in fact lead people to places where their passions can in fact be twisted and perverted in precisely that direction..... abuse can make kids 'gay' (i.e. to develop disordered attractions and disordered ideations about sexuality).

So they say one thing while doing all they do on a completely different premise. It's analogous to the general democratic claim that republicans are the racists while they in fact indulge in racism.

http://askthebigot.com/2015/07/23/the-story-of-moira-greyland-guest-post/

This evil must be confronted and stopped. Exposure to sexual images and early sexual experiences (i.e. abuse) does contribute in many cases, if not nearly all cases to the creation of the disorder that is SSA and other paraphilias.

Jusadbellum said...

A paper on Child sex abuse goes in greater detail as to the POSSIBLE origin of SSA that inverts the pop culture's view. http://www.claytoncramer.com/csa.pdf.

IF SSA can be the result of early childhood trauma and is not an immutable, inbred trait, then the LGBTQ dogma that all their problems stem from homophobia is not only largely wrong, their underlying trauma won't be treated by social acceptance but will continue to manifest despite greater 'rights' and perks of social support.

Thus if you love someone with SSA and genuinely wish them the best, it's not a given that the ONLY course of action is to support their every ideation and random feeling. It could be that the best thing we can do is NOT treat them as though their feelings are infallible and their attractions are 'healthy' to be promoted and supported by society and politics. What they need is treatment of the underlying trauma.

President Kenyatta is accused of setting off ethnic violence after his election that killed an estimated 20,000 people (New York Times: “Men were beheaded in the streets. Human heads were paraded on sticks. Women were serially raped, and then doused in paraffin and set alight. Children were burned alive.")

That's your moral counterpoint to President Obama.

So there are still a few heads of state who believe that homosexuals should be imprisoned, tortured or even stoned, but they tend not to be the most humane, progressive or, ahem, Christian.

If what you write is true then there seems to be immoral equivalence between President Obama's no holds barred support of abortion on deman to include late term partial birth abortions. As immoral and despicable as what you say the Kenyan president allowed, at least the victims were adults who could plot a self-defense.

Now shall we talk about Obama's indifference to the extermination of Christians by ISIS?

Fr. Michael J. Kavanaugh said...

Yes, let's:

April 19, 2015: "The White House has condemned "in the strongest terms" the mass murder of 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya claimed by Islamic State." (Voice of America)

Feb 15, 2015: "The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Egyptian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens. ISIL’s barbarity knows no bounds. It is unconstrained by faith, sect, or ethnicity. This wanton killing of innocents is just the most recent of the many vicious acts perpetrated by ISIL-affiliated terrorists against the people of the region, including the murders of dozens of Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai, which only further galvanizes the international community to unite against ISIL. (White House Statement)

I hear that one can even see the buttocks of Almighty God Himself. I imagine that most of you will be outraged to hear me say that while some call it "sacred art", others say "high-end porn". Some say that the intent of the artist is what makes the distinction. Others say that the thoughts or feelings that arise in the viewer are what count. (There is, of course a good deal of discussion about Leonardo's sexuality.)

I have never seen another church with such a display of nudity. Being just an ignorant cracker, though, my experience is limited. Are there any naked folks on the walls or windows of your Church, Fr. McD? Do Popes and other chaste people try to keep their eyes lowered when they're in the Sistine? I ask. You attack.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

Gob! There is a vast difference between porn and art! You know that! However in this country there is a Puritanical approach to the glories of the human form and a repression of even healthy sexuality . Porn in fact is a result of this puritanical mentality that sees sex as dirty, violent and impure. Porn appeals to these base instincts and glorifies for sexual arousal what is perceived and portrayed as nasty!

Art doesn't do this. Irish Catholicism has its own puritanical view of sex, but comes from the heresy of Jansenism.

Italy has nudes, male and female all over the place including older historic parish Churches. I've seen David and marveled at his form along with hundreds of other men, women and children. I doubt many of them viewed him as they would porn!

I don't thing Southern Europe has the same amount of sexual repression and dysfunction not to mention paraphilias as does the USA.

Since President Obama took office, abortions have dropped to their lowest number since Roe v. Wade.

Abortions peaked under Reagan. You can look it up.

They dropped while Clinton was in office, then rose again under Bush. Maybe it's education, maybe it's access to health care, maybe it's that the economy faster under Clinton and Obama. Who knows?

So what do you oppose more -- abortion or Democrats? Seems like Democrats.

As for Obama... 'condemning' atrocities against Christians while studiously avoiding arming the Christians is not much of a help.

The Obama administration could have saved Mosul. They chose not to. They could have saved the Yazidi and Christian refugees. They chose not to. They could even now be arming the Christians which would be less problematic than arming the Kurds...but they're not.

They do actively promote abortion, contraception, and sodomy as a matter of national policy - putting millions of dollars and a huge amount of staff into the various programs... so when they want to promote something they have the means and the personnel ready to go. But when they don't particularly care they just issue statements.

Ask Obama to go to church every Sunday? What president has ever done that? Reagan hardly ever went, yet Republicans view him as a saint of sorts. Carter I think was pretty frequent...but what church would want to deal with security hassles week after week with the president? Also, Secret Service undoubtedly would not want people to be aware of routine church visits for security reasons, just like after Dallas (1963), they don't usually disclose the president's motorcade route. But he could have services in the White House and perhaps on irregular basis attend services outside the White House.

But we have to convert our own clergy first. Distressed about Obama's re-election in 2012, I asked my pastor here in Atlanta about it, and he responded that probably a lot of bishops voted for Obama too. (Perhaps even ours in Atlanta, though of course he won't say.) Certainly a lot of lay people did as well. Much as we may want to blame the declining liberal Episcopal and Presbyterian Churches, it was the Catholics that helped get him re-elected last time by 5 million votes.

It was sold as 'liberation' but is slavery. It was/is sold as 'scientific' (just as Marxism has always claimed 'science' as its basis) when it's raw voluntarism. It was/is sold as making people happy...when it in fact makes them addicts prone to depression and suicide....

If we want to rise above political partisanship and view the matter as objectively as possible, we need to recognize that attempts at ideological colonization of other countries, especially in the developing world, span the political and ideological spectrum.

A true conservative will begin with the presumption that the traditions of the indigenous culture are something to be preserved (and this applies to us in the West as well) and the burden of persuasion is on those seeking to change them. The first step in this process of persuasion is to understand the indigenous tradition, that is, we should try to understand the indigenous tradition from within, from the point of view of those inhabiting the tradition, as far as reasonably possible. Only after gaining such understanding is one then in a position to move legitimately to the second step of judgment and any action and policy that flows from that judgment. In making such judgments and determining such action or policy, there is a tension between the notion of universal human rights and respect for indigenous cultural tradition. The trick is to achieve maximum protection of human rights with the least disruption to the indigenous tradition or other negative consequences. There is a continuum of options representing degrees of intervention ranging from dialogue through conditional assistance through sanctions to military intervention (I am greatly simplifying here).

This is the conservative approach. Of course, liberals on the left and other radicals on the right don’t much care for the conservative approach and are happy to ride roughshod over indigenous traditions, whether by unilaterally tying assistance to various conditions such as relate to abortion rights or foreign investment and changes in property laws, or by invading a country militarily.

How about the shameful cultural Imperialism of the United States (and other First World countries) that compels acceptance of birth control and homosexual indoctrination as a condition for the monetary aid given to Third World countries?

In college I had to sit though history classes that decried the horrible Imperialism of European countries in colonies throughout the world, and the terrible injustice of imposing European values on native peoples (which I thought was ludicrous but had to pretend to believe in order to pass the class). But here is our government practicing the most odious kind of Imperialism, and with ideas that are contrary to natural law.

What about the supposed respect for "multiculturalism?" In my view, leftists are hypocrites, and Obama is the biggest one of all. Unconscionable.

Developments in modern pharmaceutical research and have led to the increased use of abortifacients. As I recently learned from a pharmacist, abortions from the increased use of these "post-conception remedies" dwarfs those procured in an abortion clinic. The abortion industry is one of the least regulated in America so any stats you read about are suspect.Pro-life groups working at the state and local level have met with some notable success in getting legislation passed to reduce abortions and increase regulations on abortion clinics.
Father Shenen Boquet who is head of Human Life International, has many times written on how foreign aid from the U.S and other western countries has done much harm because it too often has come with string attached(the aid being contingent on accepting abortion and more recently same-sex marriage)

Our current President is still fighting in court to compelled Catholic and other religious organizations to provide health plans with free contraception, even though such requirements violate their rights of religious freedom and conscience. Soon after taking office, Obama rescinded the "Mexico City Policy," which previously had banned NGOs which are supported by American taxpayer funds from using those funds to perform abortions in foreign countries. Mr Obama is an unabashed supporter of abortion and embryonic stem-cell research.

Human Life International President Father Shenan J. Boquet :
"Under the most radical anti-life president America has ever seen, the U.S. taxpayers have funded a destructive foreign policy, which has already done great harm around the world. But we must continue to fight for those who cannot defend themselves, and we cannot lose hope, because the Lord of Life is on our side."

As for the "Just war" doctrine...yes, military action against ISIS is justified given what they have done and are doing to religious minorities.

What are we to make of the following?

(1) According to a report from CAI (Consultancy Africa Intelligence), apparently issued before the 2010 adoption of a new Constitution in Kenya permitting abortions under limited circumstances:

“The Guttmacher Institute, a pro-choice reproductive think-tank, found evidence that countries where abortion is legal as well as countries where it is illegal all have similar abortion prevalence rates. Regardless of the current laws that aim to curb the incidence of abortion in Kenya, it is estimated that a fifth of all pregnancies in the country are terminated through illegal (therefore extremely risky) abortions. According to the Centre for Reproductive Rights report, ‘In Harm’s Way: The impact of Kenya’s Restrictive abortion law,’ carried out between June 2009 and February 2010, more than 2,600 women die annually and 21,000 are hospitalised every year due to complications after unsafe and incomplete abortions (7). The World Health Organisation (WHO) interprets the above mentioned numbers as crude underestimations and holds that the majority of abortions occur in countries where it is illegal.”

See http://www.consultancyafrica.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=390&Itemid=191

(2) According to CNN:

“Under Kenyan law, sexual activity between men is illegal and punishable with a maximum imprisonment of 14 years.”

President Barack Hussein Obama is also a great supporter of Planned Parenthood, thanking them even though they are involved in the sale of organs from aborted babies, which puts them on par with the Nazis during World War II. Rather than going after Planned Parenthood Barack Hussein and his cronies are going after the pro-life group who exposed the illegal selling of body parts.

"Late Friday, Obama released a video thanking organizations and activists who helped put Obamacare in place and he made sure to include a thank you for Planned Parenthood, even though it is involved in the sale of aborted babies.

Pro-life activist Jill Stanek has the video and more about it and the shout out the abortion corporation gave Obama for thanking it in his video:

President Obama has a long-standing, super close relationship with Planned Parenthood, most clearly exemplified by his willingness in 2011 to shut down the federal government rather than allow the abortion giant to be defunded.

Obama hasn’t stopped with his own turf. He has also blocked state efforts to defund Planned Parenthood.

The quid pro quo is obvious: Planned Parenthood spends an inordinate amount of money and engages its vast grassroots network to get pro-abortion candidates elected; then they as pro-abortion legislators hand money back to Planned Parenthood, the most recent example being the Obamacare funding stream.
Thus, on cue, Obama included Planned Parenthood in a July 24 video thanking enablers for keeping Obamacare afloat."

RCG calls Obama a tyrant; Krazy Kenyan responds by assuming to know RCG's views regarding "gays, minorities, etc." and suggests he move to Saudi Arabia (which isn't possible, btw) or territories controlled by the "Islamic State."

This, students, is called a "non sequitur." It does not logically follow, nor does it address, what RCG wrote. I also ask students to note the implicit ad hominem here, as KK implies RCG supports a barbaric system that beheads Christians, stones gays and adulterers, and flogs people who drink alcohol. (Although, students, please note that Muslims in the West have supposedly abandoned such ideas about jurisprudence.)

Krazy Kenyan said...

The Greek, my point should be quite clear to anyone who's been following the discussion.

Folks here who are getting the vapors about the president's comments, which apparently make him a "tyrant," can't admit that, on homosexuality and women's equality, they stand with some of the world's most unsavory despots, the Vlad Putins or Robert Mugabes, and the social norms hellholes like Saudi Arabia.

Father McDonald bemoans the fact that he can't move to Canada or Italy because their positions are much the same as the U.S.

Well, as the kids say, duh. That is true of the rest of the civilized world as well.

Advocating equality for all hardly makes one a "tyrant." I don't think that word means what you think it does.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

Of course there is no tyranny in dragging the Church to court with it accruing time and financial resources because the Church won't eat the pork of pay for contraceptive and abortion insurance coverage, adopt children to same sec couples and perform same sex marriages or hire those in them and fire them as it is immoral. No tyranny here! Duh!

Krazy Kenyan said...

So a court case = tyranny.

Yes, absolutely. See my final line above. :)

And as we've noted in the past, the health-care court case does not involve "the Church," which is exempt, but church-affiliated institutions like hospitals and universities that hire many non-Catholics. I assume you know this. Claiming the government is persecuting "the Church" just sounds better and helps to fire up the gullible and uninformed.

Phanatical Pharisee said...

KK,

Your use of the phrase "civilized" world" is imperialist and colonialist (as well as misguided)--if you weren't using it sarcastically, that is.

Your distinction between the Church and Church institutions is, at least to some degree, false. The First Amendment protects, by its wording, not "freedom of worship" but "free exercise of religion." As the modernists here remind us every chance they get, Catholic social teaching (which they incorrectly label "social justice") is an integral part of Catholicism. Thus, if what the Church does in its schools and hospitals is an integral part of the exercise of the Catholic faith, then those aspects have a claim to First Amendment protections.

Given prosecutorial discretion, the government can quite easily seek to further its political agenda by choosing what sort of cases to file (and not to file). It's done all the time.

Krazy Kenyan said...

PP: You are correct that the issue is free exercise of religion.

Catholics should be able to live their lives according to their own conscience, as formed by Church teachings. And other people who work for a Catholic school or a hospital should be able to live their lives according to their own faith and values.

A surgeon or nurse or physics professor or band director is not a monk, priest or nun. They were hired to do what they were hired to do, and they should be able to make their own decisions about their own lives.

Fr. Allan J. McDonald said...

KK are you for real? I can't believe your unintegrated approach to morality, Catholic morality. When someone applies to with for the Church they should know exactly what the Church expects of them. If it goes against their conscience then they don't take the job, they mop it in the bid as Barney would say.

The Greek said...

Well, as the kids say, duh. That is true of the rest of the civilized world as well.

Is it? Only a small minority of nations currently recognize homosexual marriage. I would have thought Japan, South Korea, and Poland were "civilized," but I suppose not.

Regardless, I don't care. I'm more concerned with this:

Advocating equality for all hardly makes one a "tyrant." I don't think that word means what you think it does.

Not in one post (I think I've made like, what, ten?) on this blog have I ever stated anyone is a tyrant. That would require having a political opinion, and I don't have one. Sorry.

I'm a monastic priest living in Alaska, and since I have no income to tax, will never own anything, will never have children, or be married, I see no reason to involve myself in secular politics. I don't vote, as no decision made by Washington will ever affect me.

It is my duty as a priest to provide for my flock, and my person responsibility to see to my own salvation. Whether or not Obama is a tyrant is irrelevant to that mission.

'Advocating equality for all hardly makes you a tyrant'. It's actually almost a definition of tyranny. Since we are not, and cannot possibly be, equal, then attempts to impose egalitarianism on society are not only futile but sinister.

The French Revolution: 'Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité - ou la mort.'

The Russian Revolution: 'We are only equal in death, and so the Bolsheviks have turned the country into a vast graveyard.'

The Catholic Church in her wisdom has always recognized this and so condemns egalitarianism as being inconsistent with God's plan.

Of course 'equality for all' sounds nice if you are not concerned with what the words actually mean or imply. It's rather like saying 'discrimination is wrong' despite the fact that the ability to discriminate is what makes us human.

Equal Justice Under Law

All Men Are Created Equal

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Whatever is my right as a man is also the right of another; and it becomes my duty to guarantee as well as to possess.

In prayer all are equal
