Peoria is a solid diocese. For many years orthodox candidates for the priesthood who have been rejected by liberal seminary/re-education camps from more liberal dioceses have found refuge and acceptance there and are now serving as priests. This kind of renovation demonstrates why Peoria is a place that welcomes orthodoxy instead of marginalizing those who desire it.

I hate the semi-present altar rail. There needs to be a full one.
Also they need to rip out that hideous versus populum ironing board.
