CARDINAL PELL IN AN INTERVIEW SOUNDS THE ALARM

This is very worrisome! The good Cardinal knows what is at stake ! We can only pray and pray mightily that the Holy Spirit will preserve the Pope from heresy and apostasy! It all hinges on His holiness!

From the Tablet:

[Pell says the relatio is]“tendentious and incomplete,”... an “incomplete resumé” of what the Synod Fathers had said it needed to be “enhanced and corrected”.

He added that after the relatio had been presented three-quarters of the participants in the synod hall who had made interventions had voiced problems with the text.

“The question of Communion for divorced and remarried is only the tip of the iceberg"... "In seeking to be merciful, some want to open up Catholic teaching on marriage, divorce, civil unions, homosexuality in a radically liberalising direction, whose fruits we see in other Christian traditions”...

“[It is] strange that there was so little in the document on scriptural teaching and magisterial teaching on marriage, sexuality, family.” “The task now is to reassure good practising Catholics that doctrinal changes are not possible; to urge people to take a deep breath, pause and to work to prevent deeper divisions and radicalising of factions.” He pointed out Jesus’ teaching on marriage and divorce is a fundamental, which needs to be accepted. He added that children “have a right to a mother and a father”. (Source)

Duh! It was always about homosexuals. It always is!

"It all hinges on his Holiness"

Respectfully, no it does not. Jesus is clear. The Bible is clear. It does not depend on the opinion of a man in Rome. This papacy has convinced me that the Catholic arguments against sola scriptura are bunk. They might sound good on paper but look what it gets you in the real world.

Do you think if I drove down the street to the Baptist church I would have to worry that all of a sudden homosexual activity is OK?

Gee Father, is it my imagination or do you think that Pope Francis might not uphold Catholic teaching?

Catechism of the Catholic Church

CCC§675 : Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers (cf. Lk 18:8; Mt 24:12). The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth (cf. Lk 21:12; Jn 15: 19-20), will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of His Messiah come in the flesh (cf. 2Thess 2: 4-12; 1Thess 5: 2-3; 2Jn 7:1; 1Jn 2:18, 22).

CCC§677 : The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when shewill follow her Lord in His death and Resurrection (cf. Rev 19: 1-9). The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause His Bride to come down from heaven (cf. Rev 13:8; 20: 7-10; 21: 2-4). God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

The last year has been a nightmare and this synod has shown itself to be evil. It's time for somebody in a high position to just admit that he isn't Catholic and resign and just go away.

At least the Pope has got a bit of an indication of what he is going to face if he attempts to change Catholic teaching.

So many apologists for Pope Francis are also saying that he must make a statement upholding Church teaching.

I personally think it has got to the stage where he does need to resign. His position as Pope is totally compromised. How can he ever come back from this because we are totally scandalised?

The one good thing to come out of the Synod is that Pope Francis has made the biggest mistake in his pontificate by appointing six liberal bishops. He may have been able to hide behind stated mistranslation of what he has said in the past, but there is no way he can distance himself from the fact that by appointing liberals that he got the mid-way report that he obviously wanted.
