I SAY THAT HATRED FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY FORM OF THE MASS OR THE ORDINARY FORM OF THE MASS BY THE BOOK MUST DIE OUT WHEN THOSE GENERATIONS WHO CREATED THIS HATRED DIE OUT!

I have always appreciated Cardinal Sarah’s transparency and common sense. He has maintained that in a very respectful way. God bless Cardinal Sarah.

You can read his must-read interview at Diana Montagna’s Substack. Press the title of her article and of his interview:

Cardinal Sarah: Opposition to the Traditional Latin Mass Will Die Out with the ’68 Generation

In a new interview, the Cardinal calls Pope Francis’ restrictions on the old rite “neither wise nor respectful” toward Benedict XVI

God bless Cardinal Sarah. I hope the Vatican does not retaliate for him calling out that mean old man's corrupt motu proprio

I hope that Cardinal Sarah is aware that Pope Leo XIV owns Traditionis Custodes. Pope Leo XIV has maintained Traditionis Custodes.

Pope Leo XIV authorized Cardinal Roche's powerful promotion (January 2026 A.D. Extraordinary Consistory) of Traditionis Custodes.

Via his close collaboration with Pope Leo XIV, Cardinal Roche declared knowingly and confidently that His Holiness is determined to maintain Traditionis Custodes.

Address complaints about Traditionis Custodes to its owner and strong supporter: Pope Leo XIV.

Pax.

You really are delusional. If Leo is such a big supporter, why does he allow the TLM to be said in St. Peter's Basilica? He has also NOT disciplined any priest or bishop who has ignored this evil document.

Oh Father, if only it were true that the passing of the geriatric liberals would end the troubles. But it will not. The more traditional young men who allegedly fill our seminaries are not getting promoted. Episcopal authority has been given over to the disciples of Sodom and they will not abide straight traditional men in their ranks and they will not abide a tradition that condemns their disordered life. The bishops have no moral cache any longer. Strickland, Sarah, Athanasius Schneider, Cordileone--those men are the exceptions to the rule--the few good who slipped through the cracks while the lavender network wove its deadly knot around the liturgical life of the Church. It will not last, but let's not delude ourselves. The majority of the bishops are NOT on the side of good. They are not going to help us. Divine Intervention is our only hope and when it comes, it's gonna hurt. And for those who roll their eyes at such ideas--your cynicism only reveals what fills our modern Church: an utter lack of belief.

Even if true, there will be a pope after Leo.

Anthony and Jerome above are both correct. The hope of the last few years that the Vatican II clergy would die out is being replaced by the understanding that they raised up replacements who are taking the helm and guiding the Church in the same direction as the 70’s generation. They are obviously planning to paint all TLM with the SSPX brush to justify total suppression.

But the pool of liberal candidates for the episcopate is shrinking. Liberals may for now be promoted to bishop but they are not entering the seminaries. In time there will only be orthodox men left. I may not be around to see it but it is an incoming tide that no one will be able to stop.

Father Anthony,

Every young priest I know under 40 are conservatives and many can say the TLM.

Liberal "women" generally are not having children, which in this case is a blessing.

The future alternative to orthodox clergy and laity is not heterodox clergy and laity but no clergy and laity - those who believe it is all a myth will simoly dispense with the outward forms entirely
