THE ONCE GREAT AND THRIVING SISTERS OF SAINT JOSEPH OF CORONDELET, WHO TAUGHT ME IN ATLANTA AND AUGUSTA, GEORGIA

This was their appearance when they taught me, serious, joyful and young:

This is the same order today, at their motherhouse in Saint Louis. The Bugnini Mass and Vatican II breathed new life into this order, or maybe not, but I like the altar:

It could be on of many Religious Orders renewed in the same way: on a pathway to extinction.

From the Sisters of St. Joseph of Corondelet website:

"We are the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province

We are Catholic sisters and associates who work for social justice for marginalized people so they can feel loved and accepted."

In my opinion (thus it is a fact), their mission is very narrow and off putting to a majority of Catholics. Not smart if you're looking for contributions and a broader reach. If they want to reach marginalized Catholics, they should consider including the TLM communities! All the other so-called marginalized groups great plenty of support from the government and NGOs. The Church's primary mission is to save souls.
