Palm Sunday: Israeli Police Prevent Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pizzaballa, and the Custos of the Holy Land from entering Holy Sepulchre
The news is astounding, and an insult to Catholics worldwide: for the first time in living memory, the Latin Patriarch was prevented from entering the Holy Sepulchre.
This morning, the Israeli Police prevented the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Head of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, together with the Custos of the Holy Land, the Most Reverend Fr. Francesco Ielpo, OFM, the official Guardian of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, as they made their way to celebrate the Palm Sunday Mass.
The full press release of the unbelievable incident is from the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem itself, in a joint statement with the Custody of the Holy Land:

This complaint brought you by the people who shut down all Lent and Easter for every Catholic on the planet due to covid.
I had friends and relatives die who went to a thanksgiving dinner and got it there. So, are you suggesting that even larger groups at Mass would have been immune and you have issues with erring on the side of caution??? Hoe many Covid deaths did you have among friends and family????
Plainly, George Soros is paying the Israeli police......
Their choice to go to Thanksgiving and should have been their choice to attend Mass, be able to receive all sacraments including last rites, which in many cases were entirely forbidden under what, at the time, was feared to be a decimation humanity, when the people most needed the comfort of God and his Church.
Meanwhile, special people denied access for a private Mass, while everyone else denied access due to wartime restricted access to missile targets is some outrage against the faith, and the other was not?
Robert Hedges--what the heck are you talking about? I hated all of the COVID restrictions, thought they were grossly unjust, and this restriction on the Patriarch being able to celebrate Holy Mass in his own Cathedral is just as unjust. The Patriarch literally has a residence in walking distance from the Holy Sepulchre, and this restriction on him is preposterous.
And "special people denied access for a private Mass?" That's not what happened. The Patriarch of Jerusalem was literally denied access to his own Cathedral to celebrate the public mass of Palm Sunday. That is just as bad as denying people access to the sacraments during COVID.
Benjamin Netanyahu: “ I have instructed the relevant authorities that Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch, be granted full and immediate access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
Over the past several days, Iran has repeatedly targeted the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. In one strike, missile fragments crashed meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
To protect worshippers, Israel asked members of all faiths to temporarily abstain from worshipping at the Christian, Muslim and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Today, out of special concern for his safety, Cardinal Pizzaballa was asked to refrain from holding mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Even though I understand this concern, as soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pizzaballa, I instructed the authorities to enable the Patriarch to hold services as he wishes.”
I don’t think Cardinal Pizzaballa would accept that propaganda, as my father, a world War II veteran, would call it.
Did any of you even consider that the Cardinal might have been a target of the Democrat's favorite terrorists? Did you see what happened in Africa on Palm Sunday?
OH NO!!! TJM is on to us now! He's figured out how George Soros is coordinating through the home office HQ of ANTIFA (undisclosed location!!!) to wreak havoc is the Holy Land and in "Africa." Yes, "...what happened in Africa," in all 11.7 MILLION square miles of Africa, is now revealed for what it is.
Oh Tempura! O Morays!
