A large contingent of well-trained and well-clad altarBOYS indicates a large, thriving parish. And don't give me this "coincidence is not causation crap." Our clergy must be too stupid, too lazy, or too arrogant to not understand this.
The RC has to decide if it wants priests or not. The TLM photo, to me, is how such seeds are nurtured. The NO model, with female servers that cannot progress to the presbyterate, and all in albs, creates more confusion than anything else that's productive.
The Holy Father looks “complete” with his coat of arms on the sash. Without it he always looked like a Hollywood version (Hollywood ALWAYS gets Catholic vesture wrong). Hopefully it’s a small sign that the pope knows he is successor to St. Peter and NOT to Francis. Time to be his own man/pope. Francis is dead and gone.
William, spot on. Old, geriatric, bitter losers are proponents of the "coincidence is not causation" mantra. For laughs I sometimes go on a Womens' religious order's website who went in full steam on "reform." They all use the same buzzwords (Christ is rarely, if ever mentioned) and invariably appear in lay clothes and are well north of 70. The only young women (below 70) are from Third World Countries yet they expound upon their vibrancy!
