TWO EXAMPLES THAT ALL LITURGICAL PROGRESSIVES LOVE AND EXTOL: ROMAN INCULTURATION AND AMAZONMIAM INCULTURATION

I am so grateful to progressive liturgists who encourage liturgical inculturation. Here are two examples they applaud without hesitation:

If they wish to wear traditional face paint, on Euro stock people, and use a Percy Bysshe Shelley dead look-alike as an altar server, they really need to get out of the delux building with AC and sound system,in what obviously is in a major city (where live the vast majority of the indigenous who do not wear face paint, ever), and instead hight themselves out into the bush under a thatched roof hut, and do some real enculturization, and wear loincloths.

LOL! Sure, liturgical progressives really go for the picture on the bottom! Glad to see you are maintaining your sense of humor, Father McDonald.

The top picture is an example of girly-men looking for an excuse to wear makeup.

Irv,

One wonder what lame excuse women might give, to themselves, of course, for wearing makeup?

Besides the war paint, I noticed: A) The celebrant is not wearing a chasuble; B) When did brown or tan become a liturgical color?; C) I assume the two men on the far left wearing what appear to be dalmatics (is that Pachamama in the boat on them?) are deacons but the deacon serving at the altar isn't; D) assuming that's the concluding doxology of the Eucharistic Prayer, the celebrant should hold the paten with the Host, and the deacon the chalice, not the other way around. So we have what appears to be five liturgical abuses captured in one photo. Sad. Real sad.

In the second photo, the priest has an unnecessary tonsure.

Carol, I thought they were manly men with football paint under their eyes.

LOL. Father! I guess they were hoping to be the next NFL draft picks!

"Football paint"

Now there's a telling euphemism.
