SAINT GEMMA GALGANI

My dad had a special devotion to Saint Gemma. He also acquired a first class relic of her during his years in Italy. I have that relic now.

Wiki did a real hatchet job on her, and she postdates my early 1900s Catholic Encyclopaedia set, being canonised in 1940, which authority and research I would trust over anything on Wiki. Seems you have an inherited patron saint by default, and you can never have too much help.

That looks like the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows on her prayer book.

Meant to add, and forgot, as for Wiki hatchet job vs what would have been written for the old encyclopaedia, one also would need assume that in the 1920-1940 timeframe, the cause would have been fairly rigorously examined by the Church, who would have been quite familiar with detractors, and which Church then still found overwhelming evidence to risk putting their brand on this, and whose judgement trumps any secular writer....
