Father David Kwiatkowski, a native of Poland, was ordained at our Cathedral in Savannah on Saturday June 4th and celebrated his First Solemn Mass at St. Joseph the next day, Sunday, June 5th. He becomes our new Parochial Vicar on Thursday, June 30th. He's a lucky duck, I mean, blessed priest!

Was Fr. Dawid at the cathedral in Savannah last summer? He looks very familiar from our visit there.
His first Mass is a Solemn Mass! What a blessing! Gotta love this generation of new priest!!! He is quite a brave soul to jump right into the Solemn Mass -

I was not at Fr Kwiatkowskis' Mass, however, my sinus system told me about it at the 5 pm Mass. Before the Mass at 5 pm began, my respiratory sytem told me there had been incense there long before I ever showed up.

I was very moved by this experience. Fr. Dawid is going to be a great priest & an asset to our church. Glad to be a part of such a special day!
The first time I saw Fr. Dawid was at Most Holy Trinity in Augusta in our rosary garden, about 3 years ago. He joined us in praying a rosary as Michelle (Migone) and Richard (Ramirez) worked to give birth to a new Serra Club. I watched Fr. Dawid's face as we prayed, and, believe it or not, there was something in his expression, his eyes that was one of the factors that made me sign on as a new Serran. Since then, I have prayed for him and all seminarians as they journey toward priesthood. I am so very proud and happy for Fr. D. I attended the ordination, and received his blessing; it was a blessed moment for me. St. Joseph is so very lucky to have him there! God's blessings on all!
I have seen what you describe also! At the end of the Mass on Sunday in his own personal remarks, Fr. Dawid said that being a priest is what he was born to be. His first Mass was very moving especially the words of consecration.
some days I really worry for the future of The Church. Last sunday wasn't one of those days. That phalanx of impressive young Priests and Seminarians made me pround and confident for our future. God Bless them all.

Assisting at Fr. Dawid's first Mass was a memorable experience. during the Consecration the power of the Holy Spirit was very noticeable in the Church & in Father's voice. The "real" presence was very noticeable to all of the faithful. Thank God for our new Priest. God love you Father, welcome home.
