It is amazing that Praytell used this video of all video to be the celebration of Sacrosanctum Concilium’s 60TH anniversary.
It is a university chapel, but the only ones attending the Mass are elderly religious, but thanks be to God, in habit, but all elderly.
That captures the Church today and what Sacrosanctum Concilium not properly implemented by Paul VI and subsequent popes has done to the Church—losing the young and the elderly on life support!
Apart from the liturgy, Sacrosanctum Concilium did not ask for nor by any stretch of the imagination require the complete reorientation of church buildings into some kind of neo-Presbyterian gathering space!

Talk about a hermeneutic of rupture... that set up conjures to mind neo-Presbyterianism, Masonry, and a bland flattening of the liturgy into a self-referential closed circle. How wonderful it is that more and more churches are being renewed to express Catholic practice and belief in continuity with our traditions!
