I am on the Diocese of Tortona’s Facebook page that really highlights the pontifical pastoral ministry of Bishop Marini. He goes everywhere and is with the people, not aloof or backwards looking.
But he has a sense of style and the ability to celebrate the Novus Ordo with flair, good taste, reverently and with a sense of piety, mystery and awe.
These two photos are from a Pontifical Mass for Christmas at a Marian Shrine in Tortona. I just love the Italian sensibilities and where the Nativity Crèche is place and how it is highlighted!
Please note too, the pontifical deacon’s dalmatic the good bishop is wearing under the chasuble, with his ornate alb, one of his trademarks:

I'm on board with his fetishes. OMG, he uses a stand for the missal. Anathema!
I'm so far and near sighted, I'd require a raised stand and large print like a 40pt Badoni to not invalidate the mass!
Good to see he has not fallen prey to slobbism as so many bishops and priests have!
