WOW! CARDINAL BURKE, SOON TO BE EVICTED (I HOPE THEY DON’T PLACE HIS STUFF ON THE STREET) HAS A SIMPLE ROMAN APARTMENT WITH A STUNNING CHAPEL WITH POPE FRANCIS’ PORTRAIT IN A PROMINENT PLACE!

You can see all the pictures and read about Cardinal Burke’s flat here:

Cardinal Burke's Private Chapel in the VaticanCardinals resident in Rome generally live in the Vatican City State, many of them in extra-territorial property owned by the Holy See. Each apartment is usually structured such that it has its own small chapel, all in stately Roman ambiance befitting a prince of the Church…

What a beautiful chapel! Cardinal Burke has left a real gift to the next cardinal (or bishop, etc.) to reside there and offer Mass. One hopes it isn't wreckovated--that would be to squander a treasure of beauty.

I believe that Cardinal Burke is determined to live a holy life. He is far holier, I am sure, than I.

Cardinal Burke has, however, committed, more than once, the unfortunate mistake of having attempted to undermine Pope Francis' God-given authority to teach, govern, and sanctify God's Holy People.

May Cardinal Burke reform himself in that regard.

Therefore, in line with Pope Benedict XVI's holy, humble example, may Cardinal Burke grant his "unconditional reverence and obedience" to His Holiness, Pope Francis.

Father McDonald, you described Cardinal Burke's flat as "A SIMPLE ROMAN APARTMENT."

Reports have stated that Cardinal Burke's Roman apartment is "close to 5,000 square feet."

I do not mean the following sarcastically: Speaking generally, in Rome, is a nearly 5,000 square foot apartment considered "simple?"

It may be that despite its size, Cardinal Burke's apartment is furnished in simple fashion.

The following from Presbyterorum Ordinis is among my favorite passages from Vatican II:

"Before the other followers of Christ, let priests set aside every appearance of vanity in their possessions. Let them arrange their homes so that they might not appear unapproachable to anyone, lest anyone, even the most humble, fear to visit them."

That should apply to each of us, rather than priests alone.

Javier Milei, in humble fashion, repudiated months ago the horrific verbal attacks that he had spewed against the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis. To his credit, Mister Milei has undertaken a productive approach in regard to his attitude toward Pope Francis.

Cardinal Burke has never uttered publicly anything akin to the now-repudiated horrific comments that Mr. Milei's had launched over the years against Pope Francis.

However, Cardinal Burke, in horrific fashion, has attempted numerous times to undermine Pope Francis' teaching authority. In many ways, as he is a Cardinal/God's holy priest, Cardinal Burke's behavior in question is far worse than Javier Milei's previous behavior toward Pope Francis.

Cardinal Burke would prove a tremendous blessing to the Church should he emulate Javier Milei's humility in question. May Cardinal Burke pledge publicly to throw in with, rather than against, Pope Francis.
