QUOTE OF THE DAY FROM POPE SAINT GREGORY THE GREAT

"It is better that scandals arise than the truth be suppressed."

Today, however, Francis turns this around in reference to the Vigano allegations in connexion with his silence on that matter: “Truth is meek, truth is silent, truth isn’t noisy.” “May the Lord give us the grace to discern when we should speak and when we should stay silent.” “This applies to every part of life: to work, at home, in society.”

It is interesting that having criticised Cdl Sarah on his view of Silence not so long ago, all of a sudden Francis changes his tune with these Vigano allegations. Sarah did mention in his "The Power of Silence" that Jesus knew that His accusers were not interested in the Truth, so he was silent. Francis said, however,

"With people lacking good will, with people who only seek scandal, who seek only division, who seek only destruction, even within the family: silence, prayer."

He accuses Vigano of not having good will, of ONLY seeking division, of ONLY seeking scandal. So he does answer, but with ad hominem attacks and so is not silent. But that still leaves me and many others with the question of what the truth is behind these accusations unanswered. We are talking about truth, not the Truth. I am getting tired of constant ad hominem attacks from the Vatican, and now the pope, against those who claim to know the facts, and now using the Scriptures in these attacks.
