My autistic son is Tiger's biggest fan. He told me all about it as soon as I stepped in the house after Mass!

Things looked a little wild, though, when Tiger was approaching the 18th hole yesterday and a "mob" was right behind him...can't imagine that happening at 2604 Washington Road, Augusta 30904. Maybe back in the 1970s, Jack Whittaker (I think of CBS) said something to the effect there was a "mob" on the course, and I don't think he broadcast at those grounds ever again!!!!

Ridiculous. Golf simply ruins what would otherwise be a good walk. And those who play on exquisitely manicured designer courses are generally useless on the links with a stiff on-shore wind. Woods included.

With regard to 2604 Washington Road, yes there is still hope for Tiger, as Jack Nicklaus won the Masters in 1986 at age 46 (so far, the oldest winner of the Masters), and I think Tom Watson, at a much higher age (maybe even 60) came close to winning it years after he last won it (1981), but of course physical strength being what it is, in decline as we get older, you generally don't see many 40-somethings winning it. (Of course, the competition, especially international, is much greater today than in the Nicklaus-Watson era a generation or so ago.) Tiger was only 21 when he first won it in 1997.

Apologies to those visiting the Tour at East Lake who were not expecting mid 90s for temps for the event----Atlanta has had more 90s this month than in September, but today it is overcast and maybe the 90s are gone til next May.
