They had to spend a small fortune to show their dedication to "noble simplicity and poverty!"
FYI, the original orientation of the altar was to the east; which the liturgical deformers apparently ignored when wreckovating the chapel
It's nice. Not sure what the colonnade adds other than it takes up space and establishes space. If not there, the tabernacle would look more easily knocked over as it's just plunked down on a pedestal. The original, hard to see as it's grainy, was likely the best iteration.
Candles tastefully arranged on the floor, Father! But the false pillars add nothing to the improvement.
