Many, especially the heterodox left, are flummoxed by Pope Leo visiting the extremely rich and monarchical Principality of Monaco, the playground for the filthy rich and famous.
It is no secret that in the previous papacy the filthy rich and famous felt that Pope Francis looked down his nose at them and preferred the materially poor to them. Due to this perception, right or wrong, the rich who support the Church’s missionary activities and outreach to the materially poor did not give as much. And the materially poor suffered and so has the Vatican’s coffers.
The filthy rich, though, helped Pope Francis create the Church he asked for, a poor Church for the poor, but in this case a financially poor Church can’t always be there for the materially poor.
Pope Leo, thanks be to God, has recovered the treasures and riches of papal protocol as well as its own “Principality” and monarchical trappings. In fact His Holiness looks more like Pope Benedict XVI than Pope Francis. This indicates that His Holiness is not really Pope Francis II in secret but rather in His Holiness heart, Pope Benedict XVII.
“How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom (Principality) of God!…But with God, all things are possible, thus the rich can enter the Kingdom of God but only by God’s grace and by the Church’s ministry to not only the materially poor, many who are rich in faith, but to the materially rich, many who are impoverished in faith and morals, but certainly not all as not all materially poor are rich in faith either, but God can save them too!
Pope Leo understands what it means to be “a poor Church for the poor!”

John 12,8: Pauperis enim semper habetes vobiscum. Were the Church to sell off all its riches and give to the poor, it could make a very small but temporary dent in the world's poverty; but it could not so much as save one immortal soul.
This Pope knows what he's doing. (Watch you-know-who howl at this!)
In rightly praising the Anglican Ordinariate, Cardinal Fernandez stated that their beautiful liturgies (which resemble the beauty of the TLM in many ways) leads them to care for the poor in the world. Where I need to correct the good Cardinal is not so much in what he wrote about that, but that having beautiful churches and liturgies serves the poor who enter into those churches and experience beautiful liturgies and music, because we are all poor in one way or another and linked to not only material poverty “out there” but spiritual and moral poverty “in here”.
No money, no mission. I never got a job from a poor person!

"Dear brothers and sisters, dear young people, dear friends, good morning!
"As mentioned, the church we are in is dedicated to Saint Devota, patron saint of the Principality of Monaco...Recently, in this church, dedicated to the memory of the holy martyr Devota, the memory of Saint Carlo Acutis has been added, another young man in love with Jesus..."

His Holiness proceeded to promote in powerful fashion to promote Saint Devota, patron saint of the Principality of Monaco. His Holiness also in powerful fashion promoted Saint Carlo Acutis.

Pope Leo XIV, excerpts:
"Recently, in this church, dedicated to the memory of the holy martyr Devota, the memory of Saint Carlo Acutis has been added, another young man in love with Jesus, faithful to his friendship with Christ until the end, although in completely different times and ways:
=======
"Dear young people, these two saints encourage us and inspire us to imitate them.
"All of this, dear friends, requires prayer, moments of silence and listening, to quiet the frenzy of doing and saying, of messages, reels , and chats, and to deepen and savor the beauty of truly and concretely being together.
"Saint Carlo Acutis, in this regard, spoke of the Eucharist as the “highway to Heaven” and of Eucharistic Adoration as a sunbath, capable of tanning the soul."
=======
"Dear young people, do not be afraid to give everything — your time, your energy — to God and to your brothers and sisters, to give yourselves completely to the Lord and to others."
"The world needs your witness to overcome the drifts of our time and face its challenges, and above all to rediscover the sweet taste of love for God and neighbor."
=======
"To you, young catechumens preparing for Baptism, and to you who have already received this gift of grace, I entrust my most heartfelt wish: that you may live a full and authentic life in Christ; that you may be, for the good of all, in faith, hope, justice, and charity, builders of peace.
"You are the youthful face of this Church and this State.
"Bring the Gospel to your work decisions, to your social and political commitments..."
"Let everything be a gift from you to God and live everything as a mission, for He desires you all as friends in Christ and faithful companions on the journey."
=======
"I entrust you to the intercession of Mary, our Mother, Saint Devota, and Saint Carlo Acutis. And I wholeheartedly impart my blessing upon you."
